@Chibs Now that looks great. Thats the fox fiber one? I tried a double heavy sweat on a while ago and it was the first and only time I felt like a garment was just too heavy. Like, i could tell immediately there would be very little opportunity for me to wear it.
-
@tenuin It is the double heavyweight french terry. Heavy? Yes, but it’s not too warm @ room temp which makes me scratch my head. Wore it 1°C with a type 3 over and later just by its self and I was comfortable. I need to figure this thing out.

-
@tenuin Wear mine all the time. V. heavy in hand but feels great to wear
-
@Chibs Looks fantastic. Always wanted to try a heavy weight WL hoodie, but the cost is eye watering and just prices it out of range for me.
-
@stitchdown.shell thanks man! Expensive for sure but as soon as I tried it on I was like “Where have you been all my life?” Remain strong and don’t try it on!
-
@Chibs Congratulations it’s a beauty

I own this in a zip version (had to have the Waldes zipper
). I totally agree with you in that it’s HEAVY but not particularly warm. My IH ZIP is much warmer feeling, maybe due to the more “fleeced” interior and tighter sleeves.Regardless the WL has its place

-
@Brandrea I laboured back-and-forth on whether to get the zip or not. They were both in stock. Langton (owner) said he prefers to layer a jacket over the regular hoodie as it looks cleaner. I had never thought of it that way and since my IH hoodie has a zip and I didn’t feel trapped by something that felt too warm, that’s what I went with. Langton also said their zippered hoodies outsell regular ones 3 to 1. He was super nice btw. That was my first time at Gerhard. Great shop! I remember you mentioning them earlier when we were talking about that ridiculously expensive hoodie.
-
He’s is SUPER nice and always gives great advice. Glad you had a chance to visit his shop. Just be careful, he’ll empty your wallet

-
@Brandrea totally. He had me trying on N&F jeans even though I explained I would not be buying em. I made a comment to my friend about how they don’t fit me properly and he was like “challenge accepted”

-
Picked up the new ringer tee in sand. Team Sand! The medium felt too tight in the neck so I sized up to a large.

-
Looks great. Big fan of WL and great their new stuff comes preshrunk to avoid mishaps. Was looking at neck on them and I don't think they are quite up there with Real McCoys on their ultimate Pima but the double heavy and fox stuff is very good.
-
@will6er Thanks! I’ve been low key obsessed with WL ever since I got my double heavyweight hoodie. I now also have 2 double heavyweight T’s and a long sleeve double heavyweight. Just washed both of those short sleeve T’s for the first time and had no shrinkage thankfully.
The ringer T’s are more like what you would expect a regular soft t-shirt to feel like. The shoulders on the medium fit me perfect but the chest was too small and the collar dug into my neck. The large I ended up with fits perfect except the shoulders which are larger than ideal. I really dig the fox fibre bits and how they were just grown in that colour. Very cool!
The double heavyweights are a completely unique experience. Sort of like a heavy, tightly knit sweater with no sleeves. Really interesting!

The double heavy weights rock... Worn through the winter over here. You should look at the Fleeced Fox hoodies / sweats. I was put off initially cos the colors are kinda plain but wound up with an outmeal one and its great. VERY soft and the marl is more interesting in real life. I think I prefer it to the double heavy French Terry over time.
-
Looking sharp

Not to divert your attention from Wonderlooper, but I think you should also consider the 1600’s from IH. They fit quite nicely in the shoulders, sleeves and chest. They’re my go to heavier weight tees.

I concur...big fan of the Fleeced Fox Fibre. The Double Heavy's are a bit too much for the weather here...so the Fox Fibre is the perfect weight.
Can't lie though, really thinking about trying out the Super Looper which drops later today. Sounds like it sits right between the Double Heavy and Fox Fibre, in terms of weight. Will probably end up giving it a go.
-
@Brandrea I’ll give one a try, thx!
-
I almost bought a super looper burgundy hoodie on JS today... (I have the same colourway in the shorts)
I went back 15mins later to purchase and my size was sold out
I don't really want to order from Japan, I'll probably just save my budget for IH SS26 items... -
@Jord I checked one out on Friday when I went to pick up the ringer t. Nice hoody and definitely much less dense than the double heavyweight French Terry. I noticed two things. First is the medium I had on was much smaller and more fitted than my medium double heavyweight. Tried on a large which fit much better.
The second thing was it shed little burgundy bits all over my t-shirt. I’m going to end up getting the purple zip once it drops. I must! Because purple!!
-
@Chibs Nice! Your tee's look awesome! I think the purple is due to drop later in the season with production issues
