IHSH-397-IND - 21oz Sashiko Work Shirt - Indigo

Has anyone thrown their 397 in the dryer? I recently purchased a new 4xl / SP off fleabay that’s a little big. I did a hot soak and hang dried and the post soak measurements are exactly the same. Was hoping to get some shrinkage. A 3xl would have been ideal, however, will work as an overshirt.

@Denimhead-0 looks ok very slightly oversized but looks good.the more you wear it ,it will drape alot better and not look so stiff.

@gazza61 Thanks! I’ll let it finish hang drying and post a couple after pics. It definitely lost some color post soak. Regardless, it’s a beauty and a keeper for sure.

@Denimhead-0 I picked up a 4X as well for an overshirt after getting the 2X. I've washed and dried it on hot twice with very minimal shrinkage. I noticed a little color loss as well. You may not get much shrinkage with a hot dry. If I remember correctly it was like less than 1/2" in any direction.

@Denimhead-0 I think the fit is spot on for this shirt. The fabric is pretty beefy and if you sized down you’d def feel it in your shoulder and pit. Mine has shrunk ever so slightly and I’ve gained some good weight and it is bordering on being too snug.

@Jord I saw that aswell anyone who has raw denim has had that happen to them it happened to me after some jeans got wet in a rain shower when I got home and took them off I nearly had a heart attack thinking I had a serious problem with my smirf 🦵 leg's.

I wasn’t happy with the fit, so did a super hot soak followed by a hot dryer cycle. Happy to report I got a half inch off the p2p and sleeves and a whole inch off the length. Feels perfect and no ill effects.
