Finally found a pair in my size 829-blk! Took the retailer over two weeks to get them hemmed+shipped what's kind of a bummer but now they are here. +1 for mainly buying at UK/hamburg crew. Probably going to break them in when it gets to hot for the xhsib. Did you guys soak them before wearing?

@FlavourFade haha I plan on giving it hell! The jacket is a IHJ-82-IND that I thrifted my buddy works at a consignment shop and he let me know about it as soon as it showed up. Helps to have the buddy hookup!

I gave mine a hot soak when I first got it and got a bit of shrink out of it. I don't have any exact measurements though. Up to you!

First wear of my 829. Loooove that fabric and the cut is very comfortable. But will have them hemmed some more probably and do a hot soak.

@FlavourFade Lookin good! I only washed mine after the first 60+ wears no pre soak, still my favorite pants I've ever bought!

@FlavourFade I ended up raw hemming mine this fall because the double cuff just got too thick and caught on stuff at work, so much better after that and it changed how they draped to exactly what I wanted. Honestly couldn't love these pants more!

@FlavourFade I cut enough to fold the raw edge in so I could still cuff them. Probably only cut 4" max but it saved a ton of dangling ankle weight!

I'm definitely not gonna cut my pair of 829s, but I think my next black selvedge I wanna cut the cuff. There's a guy in the indigo invitational this year who did it and I kinda love the look. Any experienced veterans out there, is that a real bad idea?

Edit: here's what I'm referring to. THIS IS NOT ME NOR IS IT THE 829. Just sharing because I think it looks cool

@freepickin When I was picking up my jeans at Self Edge in LA, one of the gents had his 8301S SBGs chopped and it looked good. A matter of personal taste, of course, but I think ankle to slight break looks good on a tapered fit, whereas a wider leg opening looks better off the shoe to slightly/fully flooded. My 2 cents.
