Who Skates?

@Nostradamion Sounds cool, I'll definitely check them out. I have actually just picked up a longer Carver (their 37" Bing model) which is a lot mellower for lazily cruising around, but seems more stable at speed. Took a pretty hard slam last weekend (pesky little pebbles!) which I'm still aching from, so don't think I'd want to be bombing any hills on it though! The other option I've been looking at is the Loaded Fathom with the CX trucks, probably a bit ott for what I need, but looks similar to the Pantheon. Either way, you've got me thinking again, cheers - you can't have too many boards, right?

-
@SamD I was totally about to pull the trigger on the Loaded Fathom as well, but couldn't really find much in the way of reviews online and subsequently found out about Pantheon Longboards. They're based here in Colorado, so that was a huge plus (support local businesses!!), and once I met their owner, I was completely sold.
The Carver Bing looks like it would be a smooth ride for sure!! What trucks are you using on it, as well as wheels?
As for taking hard slams...I went out today for a planned 2-3 hour session and for whatever reason was totally "off". I had three separate close calls that would've ended badly, so after the third one my inner voice said, "not today" and I ended the session after just 45 minutes. Thankfully I didn't fall, but came really close, and that was enough to end things. Sorry to hear you slammed; that's the worst. The 92mm Karma wheels on the Supersonic seem to handle small rocks and pebbles really well so that's a huge plus. Not sure what wheels you're running on your bing, but maybe they might be an option for you at some point.
Alright, time to barbecue some chicken which was expensive AF!! Things are insane over here and groceries are through the roof (everything is actually). Don't know how this will end but at least I've got my quiver of skateboards and some killer Iron Heart jackets!! Hoping to add a "Lefty" to my collection once it gets released.
Be safe, and cheers to you!!

@Nostradamion The Bing has a C7 (wanted to try the CX, but the deal I found with the C7 was too good to pass up!) and I’ve put some 75mm Orangatans on it. Super smooth when it gets going, and on a whole it does deal with little stones/cracks well - think I was just unlucky, lesson learned!

Couple screen shots from line today at the Brooklyn banks -
@meatmarketdenim1 Sick! So cool seeing a bunch of clips at the banks again.
-
Sick! Only been to NYC once and didn’t get a chance to visit the banks.
Check the tweaked out kf wallride Cyrus does onto the pillar in the new Spitfire vid; so good!! -
@TENDREL @sophisto000
Thank you. Was a bucket list spot for me, never made it down when lived in north east and then closed so long. Just reopened like June. Not going lie it was kinda gnarly skate their 1st thing am, bricks rough and some og ones cracked. Tried couple tricks on bank and wasn’t really catching any flips tricks close. Prob skating in sweaty UHRs didn’t help, and Still worried about re breaking my arm lol. Crazy see all the new ish going down there. Made it over to LES park, place was hella fun but didn’t bother film anything. Just catching lines with old buddy, still skating 20yrs later after 1st became homies. -
I’ll be in NYC in October, but with a non-skate homie; so not sure if I’ll make it then either
. Glad you did tho! -
@SamD Happy days!

@SamD We got our first "false spring" already here in Minnesota, but it's since gone back to winter. Will be another couple of months yet before spring really begins in earnest, if it's anything like usual.
Though it is a lot sunnier here than Blighty, which is huge.
Hope you get some more good skating days in the not-too-distant!
