IHJ-150-BRN - 20oz Paraffin Coated Duck Chore Jacket - Brown
-
I really want to like this, but it looks too baggy and unrefined in the pictures on the model. Does anyone else feel the same way?
-
@dlrarmy It's probably also worth bearing in mind that all of our images are of a new/barely worn jacket. This 20oz canvas is so rigid at first that the jacket looks stiffer and boxier than it will do after it's been broken in. Over time, the fabric will gradually soften for a more natural drape and mold to the wearer's body shape — but as AJ mentioned, the cut is still designed to be a slightly oversized for layering.
@Freeman has been wearing one of the sample jackets for around 6 months now, and the fabric is much softer and looks great. Planning on getting some pics later today, which I'll post in the IHJ-150-BLK thread.

@Nick do we know what size model is wearing?
-
@goosehd Here's the medium. Not a huge difference, but a better fit I'd say. I've also tried it with a hoodie, still plenty of room — so I'm changing my answer, this one would be my go-to now! Only one possible concern would be the sleeves possibly getting a little short once the fabric bunches and settles.

@SamD M is a better fit in my opinion.
-
@SamD Sam, I wear 3x in all tops except the untucked and type III 17oz duck are 4x. Also my A2 and N1 and M65 are all 2x. What do you think on this piece? Thank you mate!

@Bane011 I wouldn't like to say for certain, but it should be a similar sizing to your military jackets. As shown above, I'd probably wear a medium in this, which is the same size I'd wear in an A2 or M65. As it's the closest style, your best bet might be to measure your M65 and compare to the sizing charts for this one — hope that helps!
