Nice looking indigo @RoxRocks86
Your dog looks rather unimpressed though

-
@Bridger thank you at least you have good taste! Two boys being unenthusiastic about great denim is heartbreaking to say the least! The other boy was behind the camera unenthused with big ol’ judgy eyes. I had a feeling the male audience was hard to please. Should've chose a girl pup for style reassurance

-
Na, I don't think it's a male / female dog thing. More of a human / dog thing. Dogs are cooler than humans and don't need Japanese denim to make them feel worthy

-
@kiya any chance of these getting restocked in the mid sizes?
-
Finally starting to get some character on these. Still a long way to go. Don't mind my homemade hem job. I found that these didn't work well with cuffs as the material is somewhat loose for 19 oz.
-
@KyIe and @RoxRocks86 can i please get your thoughts? How does this denim compare to other IH jeans? Which type would you compare them to? Have they stretched? Or lose indigo faster? Still loving it after this period of time? Im thinking of buying some but just thought to ask those who have lived experiences with it, so any thoughts would be great!
thank you! -
@cyclops This denim is very unique and I can't really compare it to anything else I have. They're not as stiff as I thought they would be for 19 oz. The denim has a nice slubby texture if you're into that or not. Mine haven't really stretched but they're not too tight so I didn't expect any stretching. I would just go for it they're amazing and probably my favorite jeans so far. Plus the patch is badass.
Here they are next to some 14 oz. 888s. You can see how different the material is.
-
@KyIe veeery cool and interesting! Thanks for your feedback and taking time to write back! I have the jacket but wasnt sure how this denim would translate in jean form and over a period of time. I now just need to choose indigo or OD!
-
@cyclops if you’re familiar with IH slubs & 18oz vintage, this denim feels like a hybrid between the two. This denim is in no way shape or form anything like IH’s heavyweight 19LHT denim. It’s the complete opposite. It’s soft to begin with and gets even softer with wear, it’s breathable, full of texture and I’ve noticed my pair easily stretched. I haven’t worn my pair a ton but have subtle fades happening. I have a feeling because of the texture it has the potential to be fast faders. I’m a fan of this denim. I’m actually thinking of getting another pair to use for work, lol.
-
@cyclops a couple of pieces with the same denim with different states of fades. The jeans and cell phone case have been worn/used daily for four months. As you can see, the cell phone case gets a lot more wear and tear. The CPO has been worn intermittently for about six months. It’s a beautiful denim that drapes very softly. Doesn’t feel like 19 oz at all. Hope this helps!

Thanks for your thoughts and feedback @RoxRocks86 and @caithangkhanh!! Really appreciate you guys taking time to write. I'm in Australia so cant exactly go to a store to check it out so this really helps

@caithangkhanh awesome fade pics! I saw recently the CPO for sale on ebay but its going for double rrp

Thanks both!

@caithangkhanh Sick fades. Clip 8 on the Belt Slider

I'm curious what everyone thinks of the higher rise on the 633. I have far too many pairs of 633 and 634 and love the fit, but I'm on the fence with the new cut. The rise is higher by about 3/4" in my size, which is fine and relatively minor (and I have many pairs of other-brand jeans with a similar rise), but other aspects of the top block feel a bit out of proportion. The fly on the new cut is proportionally longer, for example (distance from fly's bottom bar tack to crotch seam is about 3/8" less compared to my other 633s), which doesn't help and almost makes the rise feel higher than it is. I don't own any 888s but I'm wondering if the top block of the new cut has more in common with that than the existing 633/634 cut.
I will say the new denim is awesome though. Slubby yet not really slubby. Tough yet breathable. It feels like the goldilocks zone of denim!
-
These were my first 633, and my first (and only so far) IH denim, but I'd been eyeing them off for a while. I was hoping for a slightly slimmer silhouette to be honest, and probably a slightly lower rise. Basically, what the original 633 is described as. I'm still putting these through their paces though. Some days I love the cut, some days I feel like it's just not right for me. It's got me wondering what I should go to next, 888, 633 or maybe 555? I don't have a local retailer to try the various cuts out, and when they drop they don't last long - always feels like a roll of the dice.
I agree the fabric is great, still developing it's evolution, and I'll continue with them as my primary jeans for a few months yet.
-
I have the 633 OD version and love it. My only comparison is the 555 but I appreciate the higher rise and wider leg. It's more of a medium rise and the waist is tighter but I like it better than my 555.
-
Would love these to be restocked at some point

@dugafola i think @kiya previously said the next iteration of this was coming out soon. Sorry @kiya any news of this or timings? Im selfishly also wanting to know more

Next "iteration"? Are we getting additional models in this denim?
-
@wordfool i thought i read somewhere that they were doing another colab similar to this but releasing near end of Jan into feb.
