@Salted-Racer I've got a sweet spot for NF as they were what got me into "selvedge/raw denim", but they aren't the best quality compared to IH and I never wear them anymore. I think it's cool and they definitely have a place in the denim world and they are doing interesting stuff, by the way I tune in to their livestream every Thursday and watch all their vids on YouTube, I like the guys that work there more than I enjoy their products...
that said I will probably get a pair of elephant 14's dirty fade from them, I think only one of the Godzilla collab jeans were 19/20 oz+ which is what makes me sad because I love heavy stuff and that symbolises Godzilla for me... and they do like 1-2 heavyweight jeans per year.

@Jord agreed. The elephant dirty fade is looking good. They are also coming out with some Fox Fiber stuff that looks quite nice. Being Canadian, I always root for N&F but certainly not the same construction level as IH for sure.

I really like a lot of what they do, and as mentioned it seems like they have a lot of solid people working for them. For me the problem is that I keep wearing Iron Heart! Today for instance it was IGW-101B, 274-IND and IHM-27-BLK (the best jacket known to man).
I have a pair of the Elephant 11 jeans and the Elephant 11 Type III, both excellent.
Coolest part about them imo is all the interesting fabrics. The variety boggles the mind. As a big fan of black denim I've been looking at the Shinigami selvedge and the Godzilla 1954, and just might pick up one of these if I get the chance. The problem is that I have so many pairs of Iron Heart (and Samurai, Tanuki, Oni, The Strike Gold etc.) stacked up it would be a very long time until I would get to them.
Also, it's hard not to love a company that actually releases a 40oz denim. (Great that we get to see a couple pairs in the Indigo Invitational this time as well).

@Salted-Racer I am really like the godzilla collection. If I had to pick a pair I would go with the burning godzilla. I do however have too many pairs already of jeans so i doubt I will pick up a pair.

@pmadison95 yeah that one is rad! I quite like the 1954 as well..the black with white weft is so cool. I will admire them from afar as I just got back into the IH game with a bunch of purchases.

Picked these up, I got a soft spot for NF, the do cool shit and are outside the box… but they’re no iron heart!
Anyway these release next month, got them early as a retailer was about to sell them and then found out a few hours beforehand they had to wait until January… well I messaged the retailer and got them through an invoice.
Another cool “Jean” I’m interested in is the “fatfox” which is a 22.7oz canvas pant with fox fibre. Anyway thought I’d share

@Jord i never had NF jeans before hut interested! Would these heavy weight jeans get soft like IH 21oz?

@sonsw87 yes. my eHondas 20oz softened up pretty quickly after their 1st wash. just washed my Elephant 13s for the 1st time and though heavier, seem to be softening up though the denim is ‘courser’

Got this dirty elephant 20oz Type 3 as a late birthday gift from my family. It's an XL but it seems that they run pretty big compared to IH and the measurements are not very accurate. When I first got it it fitted like this:
I warm soaked and cold washed it then (no spin) and it tightened up a bit and I like the fit better now. Water was really dark after the soak. Still not really a fitted T3 but that don't work for me anyway
Fabric is really stiff and nothing like 21oz IH denim. Will wear it around the house a bit and see how it breaks in!

@Jord I almost pulled the trigger on those too, but couldn't get over how shitty the selvedge line looks. I knew every time I picked them up to wear them I would just go to my Samurais or PBJs instead. I did just get their Indigo Sugiaya pants this week, which are great.
The texture is cool on the MIJs though!

@blue2gnt Yeah they do weird stuff with their selvedge ID's, I feel ya, luckily these will be going to get hemmed soon as I don't normally cuff. They are super nice though for the price and 19oz, I only buy their elephants/MIJ stuff.
I actually posted on this thread awhile back that I always go back to my IH, after seeing your recent post about joining the IH army I think you'll feel the same soon enough, IH is just the best

@Jord 100%. I bought something like 12 or 13 pairs of jeans when i was in Japan in December and since I got home with them I've worn non-IH for a total of 4 days. Two days on some Oni's and two days (including today) on a pair of Samurai's
