Thanks. Not the most flattering shape but I’ve wanted a puffy leather yoked vest for years and this didn’t let me down. Michelin Man out!

      Think it, be it.

IMO it should give a little marshmallow man.  It is a sign of that good loft and extra cozy factor.  I have a Patagonia parka I scored 50% off that looks ridiculous, but it is the toastiest thing ever.  Your vest is trim by comparison.  That collar looks great too. Enjoy.

Looking good.  Sizing is tricky indeed.  Mind if you can tell me what size did you end up getting?  What is your standard size in IH workshirt and western?

Thanks folks. The higher fill power, smaller baffle, more technical offerings available today (think Patagucci Nano and such) can be less Michelin Man, but this is more of a vintage piece and I agree it’s supposed to be puffy.

@Omega Man  I almost always do Large in IH, with a few rare mediums in the closet that are quite trim. This is 42. I’m 40R in suits. I tried on the 40 of this and it was too trim. The down gives quite a bit so you can definitely layer more than you would expect because it feels cozy no matter what layers you put on. I think because of the puffiness it would be very difficult to size correctly without a reference point.

I can’t wait to see how it performs in the fall and winter. I’m confident it will be warm, especially paired with IH.

Today I’m going to test the performance of the nylon against water. I don’t anticipate wearing this in rain much, but it will be interesting to get a gauge on how it will do in rain and snow. The down has been treated with water resistance, but I’m not sold on that technology and don’t want the insulation getting wet.

              Think it, be it.

This thing feels like wearing a sleeping bag and the mouton on the neck is similarly reassuring and comfy. Love the face fabrics too.

Anyone out there with some experience sizing their jackets? I've been looking at them for sometime now and I am super unsure about the size. I'm a M in IH, I normally wear a 40 in Jackets so I assume the 40 in Rocky Mountain will be too small? Any tips?

Check my post just a few above. You are likely to be a 40.
