Thanks for confirming. The ‘standard’ 32 measurement looked ideal for me so, hopefully, will be ok.
Looking forward to next week to have them but not looking forward to explaining to my better half why another pair of iron heart bottoms have arrived in less than 2 weeks since the 634sb !! -
Just picked up a pair of these finally! I hope they wear just like the double indigo duck I have because they wear so well and it’s also nice to have something that isn’t indigo.

Just wondering if a restock is on the way at some point? Looking for a size 40 if so.

@AdamJ thanks for the heads up! I'll be keeping an eye out regardless. I really appreciate the forum and the way it's organized with topics for pieces so it's easier to see restocks btw. Great idea and glad I found it.

Hi All
I hope you, can help me. I need some advice on sizing.
I have several pairs of Jeans from Iron Heart. All in size 34.
I am looking at a pair of Iron Heart IH-666D 17oz Duck Jeans. I understand that the canvas material does not have the same stretch as denim. But
when I compare the measurements it seems that I should not go up one size, but two sizes. So a size 36. What !! Can it really be true? What are your experiences - two sizes ?Selected measurements on existing jeans - after stretch are (in cm):
IH-666 25 oz: W= 89, Thight 31,5, Knee 23
IH-634 21 oz: W=90, Thight=33, Knee = 24
IH-666 21 oz: W=91, Thight=31, knee= 23Best regards, and a merry Christmas to you all.

Hi, I also wear a size 34 in pretty much all Iron Heart denim, and to be honest that also goes for the duck, yes the fabric doesn't have the same amount as give as denim, but it doesn't warrant a size change for me, I think if you where worried the 34 might not relax out enough for you then give the 35 a go, two sizes up might be to big of a jump...
-
@Jack hi Jack. Very good to know. I
ll definitely dont go up two sizes up. So in your experience the are close to TTS. -
@sabergirl have to say I agree too.. I went with my usual tag size on my first pair of ducks and they almost cut me in half. On my second pair I went with the waist measurement from my oldest most stretched pair of jeans and they still aren’t the comfiest. Doable but by no means comfy
tight fitting duck is not to be trifled with.. -
@Kjeldgaard definitely trust the measurements if in doubt, but another factor is whether you are squishy or bony where the waistband hits (you don’t have to tell us
). FWIW I’ve gone for similar waist measurements on 21oz denim, duck and whipcord and all have worked fine despite different stretch characteristics in the different fabrics.Do consider talking to the guys at IHUK when you order. There’s some variation in measurements within a given tag size, so it’s likely they can pick out a pair with near-ideal measurements for you.

Thanks for the input. I am of course very much in doubt. I am used to denim, but I don't know canvas. Will it stretch at all? It makes a difference if it stretches 1-1.5 inches. My measurements immediately fit a 36, but it is two sizes above my normal 34 in both 21 oz and 25 oz denim. I am leaning more towards a 35, which is one up from my normal. I think it would work if there is like 1 inch of stretch. All input will be appreciate. Cheers Torben

@ARNC Cheers for the input. I am still completely in doubt. I think. Two up from my normal size is huge.
All the best Torben

It is not 2 up from your normal size, it is 2 up from the tag size, that is a something completely different....Trust the measurements.
You will possibly get a little stretch with wear. I never do with canvas or any other plain weave, which is one of the reasons sails used to be made out of canvas, stretch is bad in what is basically a well designed wing.
Others claim to get stretch, i think it is highly unlikley that they get anything significant.

Do NOT worry about Tag size. Its irrelevant. Measurements is what matters.
