The Flat Head
-
@DeeDee85 I nearly pulled the trigger on a western flannel this season, but couldn’t get past the body length. Unfortunately just too long for my taste. Love everything else about them.
-
@pechelman thank you very much for the info, good to know that going forward!
@Brandrea the same thing that’s put me off.. I’m only 5’10 but quite broad shouldered so would be a 46 in the flat head flannels. My IH shirts are fairly long and most of the flat head flannels measure at least an inch or two longer, I just don’t think it will work. I’m going to try and get to Rivet & Hide over the Xmas hols and try some on so I’ll take some pics and let you know how long they seem when wearing? Pretty sure we are a similar size aren’t we

-
@DeeDee85 Thanks in advance and I hope it works out for you!
-
I wear size large in iron heart large western UHFs. I feel like that puts me between a 40 and 42 in the block check flannel work shirts. What direction would you go?
-
@Kasi where did you get that from?
-
@samo I‘m normally wearing an M in IH shirts and the 40 is slim on me. I‘d probably go 42 if I were you.
-
@twin I think open but I‘d be lying I didn‘t say both
-
Both. Zipped up all the way to the neck if it’s cold too.
-
@BalticBob I wear it open when not so cold. Closed when cold outside.
-
Looking sharp as always @twin
-
@Anesthetist Thank you.

@SKT I think it looks great on you. It looks comfortable. If it was more fitted, it probably wouldn't be as comfortable. Recently, I've had to get rid of a few pieces that fit really well aesthetically but weren't as functional/comfortable. I guess it just depends on where you are in your clothing journey. It also seems to be true that if you wear anything with confidence and just don't give a shit what other people think, somehow it manages to look cooler. Not sure why that works, but it seems to. Lol
