Got a new bike rack for the Toy. Used it for the first time yesterday. Nice, secure and easy to load/unload.

Hey,
I was just browsing the parts bin of a bike shop in search of cool 90s mtb parts. And I found this interesting XTR derailleur. It took me a while to understand that it is not the usual XTR M950 that I was looking for. It’s a version of that derailleur that is “low normal”. That means tensioning the spring shifts to the bigger instead of the smaller sprocket.
I also found this beautiful bell for my wife’s bike second hand.

Don’t you think bike parts were so much cleaner and more beautiful back then?

@RobeOfTheMagi love the purps!

It is by far the best bike I've ever had. I did expect a 60cm steel frame to ride comfy, however I did not anticipate the bike to be so swift. It's probably due to the Velocity Quill Rims and RH oracle ridge tires.
-
@RobeOfTheMagi all my builds are rooted in racing, but I’ve got this steel Squid frame sitting around and I’m feeling inspired to go full cruiser with it.
-
@indigo_nico Steel is real

Honestly until I started working at SRAM and started getting the free stuff all my bikes were metal haha.

Speaking of metal bikes… my ride or die desert island forever bike: the track bike.
