“@motojobobo how goes the v85? I fall deeper in love with mine everytime I ride it.”…
@jimcasey same here on the V85TT feelings.
After 21000 km she has pleased me on every task i’ve thrown at her. I also love it’s local uniqueness and gladly accept the extra mile of work required when doing maintenance: sourcing consumables and ordering add-ons internationally.
I’ve added the full GTM exhaust kit with Autotune and Power Commander and very happy with the results even if it is a pricey decision. Especially the cooler running engine. Going on a 220 km mountain ride later today with 3 buddies. It’ll be quite a mix: Ducati DesertX, Husqvarna Svartpilen, Triumph Explorer 1200, CFMoto 450 and my V85. Wish you a nice weekend ride! -
@motojobobo thanks for moving this to the right thread. Mine now at the 25K mark, and with hindsight I reckon it was around 15K that the engine really settled into itself. I got rid of the CAT and popped a Mistral exhaust system on it, with some better tyres for dirt, and couldn't be happier. Ride safe mate.
-
@motojobobo how did your motor issue work out and what was the cause? Might have been a different bike than the one being currently discussed.
-
Tear down to clean the rust off and prep for paint

-
Couple of pics, of some of my two wheeled toys. Just need to ride em more. So many hobbies, so little time

-
Got all the rust off and primer done. Next is the base coat

The conditions were all-time this weekend in Oregon's High Desert. Heavy rains blanketed the region the days prior, and with the temps cool, the dirt was perfect. And I do mean perfect. Like all-time best conditions, perfect.
I was on my KTM 350 XC-F, which I have come to call my desert sportbike. It's dumb how good it is in the fast stuff.

@Bobcat-Sig that looks awesome
-
A new addition

-
@gazza61 number 1 plate - did you borrow it off Tommy Bridewell?
Nice bike, they sound awesome when they’re up in the higher revs.
-
@gazza61 Beautiful bike! I got my start on a CBR F4, and later, a CBR 929 RR. Next to Ducati, no one does paint like Honda does on their high-end bikes. And those HRC colors are gorgeous! Congrats on the new weapon.
-
I had a wild ride yesterday on a bike I never thought I'd bother to consider. Man, was I wrong.

That thing is an absolute sled. And the handling breaks my brain. I kind of want it...
-
@NickD its a limited edition 1 of 10 the rider I chose was John McGuinness who rides with the number 1 it looks even better in the flesh.
-
@Bobcat-Sig thank you just picked it up today swapped my 2025 honda 600rr for a down payment, still using my zzr1400 for touring they are very addictive.
-
I’m super slow with getting around to this project. Too many distractions. Here’s the base cost with shimmer over it. Time to tape it for pinstriping…

-
Cold af ride 🧊🥶

-
Taped and first coat. Hoping I didn’t fuk up

-
@WhiskeySandwich rattle can or airbrush? F’n awesome and waiting for more pics!!
Nice flake as well!!
-
@Denimhead-0 I used to ride all Winter long, and the general rule of thumb is to wear one more layer than you think you need, and if your chest is warm then your extremities would be a little warmer. You’re not even close to being dressed for it,and while you might be cold AF,you look cool AF!
-
@goosehd rattle can, I’m not equipped for a high end paint job. Would be sweet but I can’t justify the cost - it’s not a show bike. It’s nice paint though, I found a spot that does quality stuff in cans. The 2K clear coat is really what makes the difference. All for about 80 bucks. I’ll follow up with the tape removal and clear job. And of course the finished install!
