@pfw821 to add to Tago’s response, get away from talking in terms of tag size and instead (look at the “how we measure” guide) know what you're looking for in terms of rise, waist, thigh etc. measurements. Once the new measurements from the updated release is revealed, you’ll able to hone in on your preferred cut and tag size based off the measurement charts

I have a pair of 777 in the 18oz vintage, and they fit nice too, but are a bit large in the waist and small everywhere else. for me, the 888 is the opposite.
