Update on these. I took them camping over the weekend in an effort to break them in quicker. I put them through the wringer, and can say they are worthy of the hype. Although I don't suggest taking them hiking, it was one way to speed up the process. I wasn't originally sold on the idea of a heavy "work" shoe, but damn these are solid.

@northsouthdenimguy ...that red clay will make it three tone as that clay doesn't wash out easily.

I’m wondering that myself on that burlap , although probably won’t get much on it unless I miss step and go ankle plus deep, which I’ve been known to do. Plus this georgia red clay uncompacted is like quicksand.

This question popped up in the Ship John thread, but perhaps it’s better asked here; have there been any Boss 7500 collabs in a brown rough out released with a Dr Sole half-sole? I know Ship John has the Derroll in the 7500, but is fitted with the V-Bar full sole. IH Germany has a custom engineer with a half-sole, though in V-bar.
Any insight from any of you afflicted Wesco engineer collectors?
