IHSH-427-IND - 16oz Selvedge Denim CPO Shirt - Indigo
-
Just received mine and i love it ! I only have one quick question. What is the purpose for the extra line of denim on the front bottom of my shirt. Is folded and stitched, Is there a purpose for having this excess material?

-
@hugothecowboy I would guess that the fabric needs to go somewhere and ends up all nice and tidy folded and stitched at the bottom. I personally love that part of CPOs and often find myself fidgeting with them. It's even more thicc with 19oz and 21oz CPOs.
-
@hugothecowboy it hides all the stitching that makes a corner like that. It also prevents you from getting it stuck on stuff. It’ll glide over with the fabric on top.
-
Size large incoming to Colorado. Hopefully, sizing is similar to my other IH CPOs....it seemed close.
-

This CPO is amazing… really loving the modern touches and more streamlined look, good on IH to slightly deviate & try new things.
The denim also is a wonder to look at, nice texture while being soft and pliable. The fit also is perfect, maybe my best fitting CPO.
-
Only the sleeves were a tad long, but the half cuff trick works really well, digging how the stitches line up

-
Managed to pick up a medium, love it! Just wondered your thoughts if the sizing looks good? Just a T-shirt underneath today but will layer with a UHF too.

-
Looks great to me, while beiung versatile with both the tee and UHF options. A keeper I'd say!
-
@jiminstitches looks tight in the shoulders and chest. If it’s comfortable for you, rock it. I’d say the UHF will let you know if it’s a layering piece or not. I have shirt CPOs and more jacket ones. Depends on how you want to rock it
-
@jiminstitches from only the pictures it looks like layering a UHF could be tricky
-
because there is never enough denim. Such an amazing shirt. -
So good to see IH is doing all of this badass stuff, looking good guys

Love

I tried to hold out for the CPO 292… Just pulled the trigger on the this CPO, I kept going back and forth due to the collar but it began to grow on me.
-
Size check please on my 427 in size large. It's pretty roomy around my mid section but shoulders are about spot on. Think I should exchange for a medium??

-
@j3butch1 If you are going to wear it as a shirt, then it does look a bit big…however, a CPO is more like a shirt/jacket (shacket) and supposed to be a bit oversized for layering. It looks like you could fit a flannel underneath it or possibly a hoodie.
It’s all down to how your really want to wear it…down size if a shirt or keep as is for a shacket.
-
@goosehd I hear ya and yes you are spot on. I can get a flannel or hoody on under it as is. So should probably just keep it I guess as it would be difficult to have the best of both worlds in this piece.
I'm also looking to pick up the 293 OD and would want to wear that as a shirt w just a t shirt underneath. Given the pics above (just wearing a t shirt underneath) would you suggest getting the same size (L) in the 293?
I know measurements should answer my question but on paper, the M in the 427 should work for me. -
@j3butch1 It’s all down to measurements and if you have a second, please take a look at this guide: https://forum.ironheart.co.uk//post/923860
You have a baseline to work from with your current CPO and I would look for measurements under your current CPO. Since the CPO you are looking at is OD, there will be zero shrink left and you can take that out of your decision process.
-
@goosehd So here are the measurement differences for your opinion on me, basically would the difference in size between my size L 427 and size L 293 get me to my desired outcome:
293 size large compared to my actual 427 size L
Chest -1.5"
Waist -.75"
Shoulder -.25"
opening -1.25"
V Length -1"
Sleeve -.5"
