I've been really enjoying listening to Young Gun Silver Fox - if you have not heard them and are partial to a bit of Steely Dan, Hall & Oates, Yacht Rock, they are well worth a listen!

@GraemeE I will admit that I was unaware of Elliott until Brad (https://www.bradmehldaumusic.com/) made this album. I clearly missed an influence on the generations of musicians. I started to listen to the orginals and they are awesome. I hear so much of his work influenced by The Beatles.

Not that The Bronx was a hotbed of musical creativity,but of the people in the local bands he was the coolest guitar player. Had a painted SG just like Clapton,and he could play. We had a mutual ,musical,friend who said that some guys were organizing a jam session at a new rehearsal studio,and why didn't I come and sit in. For some reason they told me to go first. These guys were all older than me,and watching them warm up,especially the guy with the painted guitar,I knew I was in over my head. Sad to say I could not keep up with these guys,and was soon replaced. But from that point it was a learning experience,all the guys were nice to me,even the guy,with the painted guitar. And from that point on whenever I saw Paul/Ace I would say hi. The last time I ever saw him he was waiting to catch a bus. I said hi,and congratulated him on KISS.etc. To which he replied...I hate this fucking band,I have to wear all this make up,my skin is all broken out,and we're not making any money etc.,etc. His bus came,I said take it easy,and the rest shall we say is history.
