Hi guys, it's been a while since I didn't post something so here's my '72 les paul deluxe conversion to humbuckers made a long time ago. I bought it in a really bad shape and since I'm an occasional luthier, i tried my best to give her a second youth. So here's the before/after

And after sanded it a lot to return to the original varnish, I put some Joe Bonamassa's SD custom shop pickup, some '59 parts, all the electronics redone also and now here it is.
It's one of those which when you try it it's like there's something special happening, so happy to have it in my collection, for sure the best guitar I ever owned.

I love the fact that passions have their own language. I was at a party recently and was describing the damage to SAKURA that me and P managed to do, to a friend. After my monologue, he said, "well, I understood about 10% of that"....

@Freeman Very cool, wasn't familiar with him (I'm admittedly a bit out of the loop these days), but had a look and it seems like he does great work. And if there's one thing I enjoy (at least) as much as denim photos it's build update shots of guitars, so please keep them coming.
