IHSH-426-BLK - 12oz Military Moleskin Western Shirt - Black

This is our classic western shirt, cut from 12oz military-style moleskin fabric. “Moleskin” is characterised by its brushed surface (which mimics the velvety feel of a mole’s fur), creating a fabric that is both substantial and soft, offering comfort and warmth in the colder seasons.

This 12oz moleskin takes inspiration from vintage European military fabrics, similar to a German army moleskin. This means it's woven tighter and thicker than our previous moleskin fabrics, and is less heavily brushed to retain a little stiffness. To create a vintage military aesthetic, it's woven using sulphur-dyed yarns, allowing the colour to mellow with wear for a muted, timeworn appearance. Finished with tonal stitching and black heavy-duty snap fastenings.

Yall help me out. Other than being slightly heavyweight in comparison is there any other differences between this shirt and the one IH Moleskin self edge exclusive?

@truby the Self Edge version is the IHSH-216, we made a navy and camel version too. This version is slightly coarser to the touch and as you say a little heavier.

The IHSH-216 was a lot softer with a visible sheen to it

@truby the Self Edge shirt is a CPO, not a western shirt. the SE model is also reactive dyed and will not fade, whereas the 426 will fade being sulphur dyed

Wow these looks great

I’m usually an XL in Ironheart but looking at the chart I’m wondering if I should size down to a Large.

My other similar shirts
The teal one looks like it fits but movement is very slightly restricted so can’t go smaller.
The ombré flannel fits great in the chest but the arms are way too long, which I dislike.

If anyone wants to give sizing advice that would be great. I’m probably a XL due to it having more room in the shoulders but prefer a 25” sleeve.

@99Tjadams shoot the guys an email at shop@ironheart.co.uk. They are the best at helping you dial in the size based on the measurements you took. The most important thing to keep in mind, which you are already doing: don't let tag size fool you, always look at the measurements

@99Tjadams XL definitely the way to go, you would feel very restricted in this in a Size L, as Tago helpfully pointed out, drop us an email and we'll be able to find the nearest to 25" or so that you're after!
