      OK guys, Big discovery …..

Size down in these suckers because they are very generous when they stretch out….

I just got these in the mail today and I’m much better liking the fit sizing down

after about a week they’ll be comfortable

There’s just one size difference between this post and the last one, but seems like it’s a different fit or cut altogether

@truby I just had the same experience with the same pair of jeans. I bought my usual 633 size since the measurements all lined up and the new pair was way bigger, so I'm currently awaiting my exchange for a size down.

@truby I was afraid of that! Mine are just right as is out of the box, but I don't want any stretch. Return shipping to the US from Australia, plus SE's exchange policy mean I'm just going to have to make this pair work. I think a size 34 down from my 36 would be too much anyway, I'd need a 35 ideally. Your new pair look great!

I'll give mine a hot soak, maybe even a sudsless wash cycle to get all the shrink I can from them before putting them into rotation.

@ManiacLachy it’s not that bad. I’m keeping the other pair because I like them too. My trick is to throw them in “THE DRYER!!” lol. But not throw them in wet. My dryer has a setting for “steam fresh” and it steam spins the clothes. By doing so it removes the stretch in denim.

            Love you guys.

I picked up a pair of the 633 OD in early August and just started wearing them yesterday. These are really great. The denim is so interesting. I was surprised at how little mine actually taper. I got to try them on so I knew already but the website measurements are about .75" smaller at the leg opening then on my actual pair. I am actually pretty happy with this as I prefer the larger opening. I took my normal 36" and they were tighter at the waist than my 555 but have already stretched enough after a day.

I've completed my hot soak and wash, with a line dry. Measurements below.

(I measure both "traditional" and IHUK waist styles, and the various thigh measurements that go around, so they can better/easier be compared to the various methods different retailers use.)

As received, SExIH25 633 Indigo Tag Size 36
                Waist (IH): 18.25"
                Waist (SE): 18"
                Front Rise: 12.5"
                Rear Rise: 16"
                Thigh (at crotch): 13.5"
                Thigh 1": 13.25
                Thigh 2": 13
                Knee (13"): 9.75
                Hem: 8.5
                Inseam: 36.4

Post hot soak and wash (40C):
                Waist (IH): 18.1" (-0.15)
                Waist (SE): 17.9" (-0.1)
                Front Rise: 12.2" (-0.3)
                Rear Rise: 16" (no change)
                Thigh (at crotch): 13.1" (-0.4)
                Thigh 1": 13" (-0.25)
                Thigh 2": 12.5 (-0.5)
                Knee (13"): 9.5 (-0.25)
                Hem: 8.3 (-0.2)
                Inseam: 35.75 (-0.65)

Some change, but modest, which is what you'd expect from a pre-washed garment. I was hoping for a little more from the waist. I'm surprised by the changes at the thigh the most, I measured twice to confirm. It'll be interesting to see how the jeans stretch over a few months of initial wear.
