A couple detail pictures of my 814 that came in. First day wearing them to work, love these pants!

For those that own these (or similar pants)… Do you prefer to have them cuffed or hemmed?

The cuff adds some weight to the bottom and is kinda good with the wider leg opening. But also collects a lot of dirt and debris at work etc.

Hemmed would be cleaner looking as well as physically. And maybe more comfortable with the light weight, wide open legs?

I know this Wabash is not going to shrink very much. But I will wait to hem them after washing to be safe. If I decide to hem them.

        Any thoughts are welcome

@Danimal506. I wear mine hemmed and I like them very much. Its personal preference, there is no right answer. I do like wide hem widths anyway.

As far as shrinking, I wouldn't worry about it. It will be negligible if any. Just don't throw them in the dryer.

@yannis Cool man. Yea I like both hemmed and cuffed! That makes it tough to decide.

@Danimal506 In my opinion wider leg openings look better hemmed short especially with lighter weight fabrics. Cuffs look better with heavier denim in cuts that have smaller hem, again in my opinion.

@Oaktavia That makes sense. With the 12oz Wabash and the painters pant style cut, I think a good hem would make for a killer fit.

If you decide to hem you will also have some fabric if and when you need to do some repairs. It’s certainly a beneficial move in regards to collecting debris in the cuffs too.

Luckily I have a Self Edge nearby that I can bring them to and still have the chain stitch hemming. I think I will hem them sooner rather than later.
