Is the definition of F1 to me. Everyone does it, some more than others, but watching Drive to survive in particular, very few of the major figures come across as particularly likeable. Max‘s smartest move was limiting his appearances in that show

The reason everyone is whining is that F1 isn't a glamorous industry to be in. It doesn't pay very well and there are few opportunities to travel with work.

Mad respect for what Horner did as a principal, and he’s a master shit stirrer and troller, which is part of the game to some extent (the likes of Vowles aside).

But he’s also a hypocrite and did something that was bad enough to tear down a dominant team in very catastrophic fashion. For a while there it seemed like every dimension of F1 went from class of the grid to a laughable level of incompetence.

Greek tragic level of downfall, but he leaves RBR among the top handful of principals in F1 history purely from podiums, wins, WCCs, and WDCs.

Also. I just don’t understand why he would mess around on his gorgeous and incredible supportive wife. Who knows what she’s really like but from afar she seems like quite a catch and that he outkicked his coverage considerably (forgive the American football metaphor).
