@october-rust thats awesome! A WCW PPV was my first live event in Oakland, CA. I really love that y’all got the hook up and will still go to a show! What’s been your most memorable recent event? Also, WCW World Tour on N64 was the game I think my dad and I played the most. So I’d gladly say we were a WCW household…but when raw was war, I’d have to know about that too! Lol
@T4920 lmao! I remember only watching BTE to see the dark order sketches when Brodie was still with us (RiP). And yeah man, while I’m not an elite mark, I too am pulling for Kenny to get an 8-star match from uncle Dave while his body can. Is there a match, wrestler or angle you would like to see completed or revisited? MJF was a breath of fresh air before they paired him with Adam Cole. I felt good knowing that Brian and Jim also thought it was a boneheaded idea tho. That popped me.

What in the world went wrong with VKM? Listening to corny talk about the details regarding all the shit (literally) and it confuses me how much one person can change! From the stories of the past few years listening to JC, it seems like Vince lost his damn mind!
And speaking of losing their damn mind, the rock vs Roman instead of Cody?!? I don’t even follow WWE like that and know this is not what the fans want! lol.
Make it make sense!

@deadendpro The VKM stuff is wild, but not surprising in the slightest... Looking back over the last 25 years of his on-screen antics, it's a textbook example of a predator hiding in plain sight. Being British, it reminds of the Jimmy Saville scandal, sans the kids (hopefully), but I'm glad Vince is still alive to bare the punishment and personal shame of his perverted antics being exposed for all to see!
As for Cody, I still think it's a work... Rock/Roman is undeniably a massive match, but under the control of HHH I don't think such a creative oversight would be made...
I might be wrong though, it'd be naïve to underestimate to how illogical wrestling booking can be sometimes...

Perhaps that’s it, about VKM, and I never noticed it because I had been out of the WWE ecosystem for so long. I remember the attitude era with all the Russo-led wildness across the board, but I stopped watching around 2002/2003.
And while I am hopeful HHH will continue his solid booking of his top stars, I can’t help but think the rock interjected himself into this at the request of the TKO higher ups to attempt getting more eyes on this at the cost of what fans want. JC has mentioned a few times that the rocks daughter is also GM of NXT now too, and that had to be to satiate Dwayne. I honestly do hope it is a work, but more than anything I’m looking forward to all the drive thrus and experiences from now through wrestlemania. Hehehe

I think HHH made the right call with Cody v Reigns with The Rock in Romans corner... I predict The Rock to help Cody win the title at WM

I've listened to do much Jim Cornette over the years that I genuinely struggle to fall asleep without his rants echoing in the background..
I don't follow WWE properly, just watch PPV shows and keep up with everything else via podcasts... but right now the product (IRL scandals aside) seems to be in the best place it's been in decades and I'm happy to see it!

@doubletee I'm gonna have to catch up with today's developments tomorrow morning...

Hello everyone! I was curious to see if anyone here happens to be a pro wrestling fan to any real capacity?
I am awares (and you should be too) that this sport is per-determined and there is obvious cooperation (most of the time), but that doesn't keep it from being either entertaining, ridiculous, or car-crash television with certain companies (looking at you AEW).
That said, I returned to this childhood enjoyment during the pandemic, and was wondering if any of you here happen to be fans of WWE, AEW, or any number of companies that hire men and women to fall on each other in little clothing. It also happened to be when I got introduced to Jim Cornette and Brian Last's podcasts (the drive thru and the jim cornette experience) and the rest has been history.
As an easy toe into the conversation, my question to you is, who is/was/has been your favorite wrestler?
Ultimo Dragon was my fave growing up, but Cena is my guy; less for his in-ring work, much more for who he is, how he interacts with others, and his positivity. (might not be so evident right now with his heel run) I am also a big MJF guy, but all that nonsense with Adam Cole was not a good look.
Hope some of y'all are into this..
