IHT-2502-SAX - 7.5oz Printed Loopwheel Crew Neck T-Shirt - Sax Blue

Our 7.5oz loopwheel cotton t-shirt, finished with Iron Heart chest and back prints. Made from 100% cotton, the loopwheeled fabric is knitted on vintage "tsuriam-ki" machines in Wakayama, Japan - one of only two factories in the world still manufacturing authentic loopwheel cloth. This low-tension, circular knitting technique produces very soft, tubular pieces of fabric, allowing for a garment to be constructed without any side seams. Each T-shirt is then cut, sewn and printed in the historic Shitamachi (“Old Town”) district of Tokyo.

I’ve never gone for one of these 7.5ozers (I’m usually squarely between sizes and a bit nervous of the huge sleeve opening) but this looks really good. Might need to spend some time at the weekend measuring all my tees to see if I can make this work!

@ARNC FWIW I find that the large sleeve opening is great on hot summer days. It is particularly nice on a drive with my arm out the window, the airflow goes straight through the sleeve and helps cool me down. It's a good cut, but I prefer a looser tshirt. Perhaps that can provide you with a bit of insight on these if this will be your first.

@Oaktavia thanks, that’s helpful although there are not so many hot summer days in the UK! The dims are a bit outside of what I usually look for, so the key will be measuring known outliers in my T-shirt drawer that I know I’m happy with.

@ARNC oh, I am always in my little bubble here in WV. Temps are rising to near 90F today already. I think I would for sure prefer UK weather if there are not many hot days. The humidity here is exhausting...but definitely an American pastime.

What do you think the chances are of finding an XL with 50.5 inch or less shoulder width @ShopatIronHeart ? All the measurements line up for me in XL except the shoulders are quite wide but understand it might be a stretch to go down a full inch in shoulder width
