Oh yeah these slip ons are from few years ago, my bad I had another pair between then, that’s gone now . I only wear when walk my dog, easy on and off. I skated them like once or twice before and back of my foot would slide out, not ideal. I’m a us size 12 but 11 in all converse, even then some 11s are too big

@meatmarketdenim1 yep, can’t wear them for skating because of that heel slip, and Vans fucked up their slip-ons for me with the last retooling of the skate line (well, before that actually), so I’m stuck (comfortably) skating in Half Cabs…

Here’s a quick pic of my new “poor man’s” IHSN-01 (custom black denim Chuck 70’s) I really dig ‘em and I put a little family flair on the back strap…my kid’s initials on an indigo denim strip. Love how they turned out

@SKT These look great! I went with indigo high tops and basically recreated the Concepts x Converse Cone Mills collab from 10 years ago. I love mine so much I'll probably also get a pair in the black denim as well.

@SKT thanks for this awesome idea! I just put in an order for blacked out denim low tops. I was tempted to do an indigo heel strip or elsewhere but I opted for the murdered out look. I think I may end up putting in another one for indigo high tops too later on. I had messed around with a pair and went with indigo everything with black rubber everywhere. Not sure if I would go with the black rubber or just go with classic blue and white/natural....open to hear opinions! Anyway, thanks again for posting about your denim chucks. I would not have known about them if not for you.

@Oaktavia I personally would go with the white bottoms. They also have a hickory stripe pattern on there I was eyeing.

@Oaktavia man that’s awesome and I can’t wait to see ‘em! I think either sole would look good…just gotta go with your gut. Mine are still in the closet and going to be a Father’s Day gift so I’ve got to wait another month before I can break them out. The whole customization thing is so cool…well done Converse.

@SKT forum members are easy to shop for, that is for sure! Mine will take about a month to make, according to the email. So perhaps we will be posting ours around the same time The customization feature is pretty cool but including black and indigo denim really makes them awesome.

I have been wearing these around for about a month. All black denim custom low top 70s. I went for the comfort insole too which feels cushy and comfortable. I will likely put in an order for indigo denim high tops at some point later on. I have always been a fan of monochrome black chucks. I've had a few high top versions.

I think I read online somewhere that Converse uses a 17oz denim for their shoes. Feels that way and makes sense for shoes. Not sure where I read that though.

Wearing New Balance for the last 18 months has made Converse feel way too flat and uncomfortable to wear these days. Still love how they look with a double cuff tho!
