IHSN-01 - Low Top Sneakers in 21oz Selvedge Indigo, 21oz Superblack, 21oz White
-
A few pics of my recently washed sneakers. They are 6 years old and this was their first cleanup.
Main reason for the wash was to cleanup the dark spot created by the motorcycle’s shift lever. Didn’t get totally rid of it but they look much less grungy now.
Surprisingly the outside of both sneakers show most fades while the inner bit held onto all or most of its indigo. -
@motojobobo So nice! Maybe try a magic eraser sponge on the white parts? If you really want to try and get them clean
-
@motojobobo wow!! Those are insanely cool!!
I agree with @Danimal506 cleaning up the rubber would make these really shine!
-
@motojobobo very cool! How are your soles holding up? Mine are solely losing profile after about 2 years of regular wear
-
I’m not familiar with the magic eraser sponge but I’ll get it on my next trip and give it a shot. Thanks for the tip @Danimal506 and @Mizmazzle .
Soles are still in fine shape @FlavourFade as I haven’t walked that much with them. I mostly use them on the bike for around town errands.
-
@motojobobo I use nail polish remover and a cotton ball to rub the rubber clean. Works very well.

Do any of you IHSN-01 owners have a pair that causes part of the denim behind the toe cap (in front of the first eyelets) to rub down against the tops of your toes? Mine do this and it is slightly uncomfortable. Just wondering if this is a me thing or a feature of the shoe itself.

@Oaktavia I don’t experience that. Is it the tongue of the shoe bunching up?
Yes, essentially the tongue is bunching up, even if I pull the tongue up when lacing. It slides down, kind of like how with converse shoes, the tongue can slide to the sides easily and not stay centered. It may be because I chose the last 12, which was a half size too big. I tried a few different pairs of insoles and it still happens. Maybe I just don't have the right size after all.

@Oaktavia Wondering if maybe it might be possible to add a few stitches to connect the tongue to the body of the shoe? Keep in in place permanently...
I was thinking about something I could do to mitigate this but I wasn't sure how to go about it. Because otherwise, the shoes fit just fine.
-
Both my pairs, indigo and duck don't do this and the tongue stays in place all the time ..
-
@Oaktavia They say you should try to walk a mile in another man’s shoes… well now I have! Thanks again Steve!
-
@SourPower hell yeah man wear them well!
