My first pair of RGT jeans(first anything rgt) arrived today. Size 34... I'm 36-38 in IH. They buttoned up pretty easily but they are tight. The inch of stretch will be appreciated. They didn't hem them per my checkout instructions so the Tokyo cuff will be in use.

@caithangkhanh exactly one year
-
@caithangkhanh nice shots of that sashiko fabric when new!
-
@Cskarev beautiful progress.
-
@flannel-slut thanks! I’ll try to keep track of the progress here.
-
Wow, these RGT SK 15oz are breaking me in. Only made it half the day before switching back to 555's. These are the tightest jeans I've worn so far. They should be good after a few wears as they button up rather easily. Wearing a size 34 is crazy. Of course the waist is 37" lol
-
@CosmoSix5 Jeans look great! How'd you make out with the Supply jacket??
-
@Setanta arrives Wednesday. I'm far from the West Coast
-
@CosmoSix5
I'm considering the stealth sashiko...
-
Yeah, since I missed out on IH's shirt offering, I broke down and picked up the sashiko supply jacket as well. I grabbed XL which I'm afraid might be a bit too big, but I'm thinking I can shrink it down if needed.
I also grabbed the Naked and Famous recent sashiko drop (pants), which I gotta say are pretty cool.

Here are some more shots of the Sashiko jacket.
Overall it is a great jacket, quick fader and becomes really soft after some wear. The only thing that bothers me a bit is the length - I would definitely prefer it a bit shorter. -
@caithangkhanh Do you reckon these sleeves could easily be shortened by a tailor?
-
@m4xime honestly, I have no idea. I’ve never modified the length of the sleeves on anything. From my limited understanding, shortening the sleeves on any jacket requires quite a bit of work.
-
I have had my sleeves modified. All the tailor did was move the cuff up 3 inches.
-
Sashiko arrived today. A smidge to big in the chest and waist. The sleeves are short and would've been worse a size down. Nothing's perfect I guess. Looks great until I drive
-
@CosmoSix5 It looks great on you. What makes you think the sleeves are short? I think the sleeves hit right at the sweet spot on your wrists. All personal preference of course.
I gave mine a soak over the weekend. I didn’t get any before or after measurements, but it definitely feels like it fits better for me. The sleeves were still a bit long for me, so I cuffed it about an inch.
P.S. Wearing a white t shirt with the sashiko is a brave move!
-
@caithangkhanh it's my crocking shirt. The back and armpits are
.
-
Looks good @CosmoSix5 ... Mine (supply jacket as well) arrived today. For science, my XL went from too large to (I'm hoping) just about right after hot/cold wash and a short time in dryer on medium/low
The leather badge on the inside is now blank lmao, but that's not really something I give many f's about. Currently air drying for the remainder.
-
@anodyne let me know how your sleeves do with the shrinking
-
@CosmoSix5 Will do, though I didn't take before photos or measurements. The shoulders were a bit large, and the chest even larger. The sleeves were longer than I wanted, and the arms too baggy for my taste. Wearing it damp, I hope the sleeves don't shorten much further as they are just about perfect now imo. They don't seem to be quite as short on me (with arms raised) as yours. I didn't seem to lose much color with my abuse, but the shine (which I really wasn't into) is gone.
