Care For Your (Denim/ Wool/ Cotton)

I thought the time had come to wash my 2016 UHR 634s 21/23s after having worn them for over 2 months without washing or soaking.
Instead, I turned them inside out and spayed them with fabric refresher. They smell a whole lot better now but have gone very rigid! However, they have not shrunk at all. Has anybody else done this? Are there any downsides?
There are also Antibacterial Fabric refreshers but these do not seem readily available in supermarkets and it looks as if they have been re- withdrawn or re-described to focus on upholstery fabrics so I guess they may have adverse consequences, whether on the fabric or on the skin. Has anybody used these?

@derek111 Just wear it - I had a shirt that came with a cologne smell that didn't wash out but went with hanging and wear. A shame really, it smelt really nice!

I’m getting ready to wash my 666s 21 for the first time and need a bit of guidance. I plan on soaking my jeans inside out but have a bit of dilemma with my washer. I live in an apartment and have a double stack GE (GUV27ES) washer/dryer and it appears that all wash cycles have some sort of spin cycle. The delicate cycle is described as “ Utilizes a gentle agitate profile and a low spin speed to provide special care to delicate fabrics. It is recommended to place small or ultra delicate items in mesh bags before washing”.
Do y’all think it would be safe wash on delicate with the jeans turned inside out or am I better off handwashing? I have at least 100 wears on them and my goal is high contrast fades and ensuring the longevity of the jeans. Any feedback would be appreciated!

@Matt thank you for the advice

@mudhogen I would just open the top of the washer at end of cycle, before spin. I had this setup in an apartment and loved it -- it is fantastic for dying cotton.
