After nearly a decade traveling everywhere with my trusty m240 and m246, I decided I really wanted to simplify and streamline. While I will always deeply miss the m246, I thought this was the best compromise. Already loving the ux and how it is ostensibly much more modern in capability and software but that it feels even simpler in actual use. Good job with "Das Wesentliche" design ethic imo.

Love that last shot @weftyarn. Did you consider cropping it a little tighter horizontally?

I love it like this @weftyarn. Personally I also like how the kids are almost totally crushed in the shadows and almost silhouettes. Reminds me a bit of Koudelka.

Finally got some recent-ish rolls back and scanned. This weekend the photo group I’m apart of did a field trip via Amtrak to Durham, NC for the day. Stoked to get the roll back from that. But, for now, here’s some fall goodness including a day trip down to north GA to see my best friend compete in a power lifting event. Color photos shot in the Leica M5 with Gold 200, and the b/w was on my Nikon point and shoot with Rollei RPX 400

@seawolf thank you! One of my goals for the last couple of years has been anytime I’m going to visit or see them that I have at least my point and shoot. I’ve had too many digital photos go the way of dead hard drives over the last 20 years of our trips and antics, that having negatives seems like the only appropriate to ensure I have our memories preserved.

@alexxedge Thanks! Just some amateur shots for a class assignment. Shot with a DSLR in full-manual mode. It was a really sunny day, so I was doing my best with the blasting sun and trying to make use of it.

If that name doesn't sound familiar, maybe this image will give you a hint. He was from Massachusetts, but he lived and died in San Diego.
