It was originally released a long time ago, and had a difficult «birth». The measurements differed from the type III’s of the time and it fit differently as well. It was also a relatively expensive piece and not many were made. So a restock is impossible (they are long gone), a remake is unlikely (given the circumstances around the original release), however a lined denim jacket (the stormrider) was released recently and IHUK has hinted that a lined type III is in the works.

I'm talking to H in Japan in 3 weeks or so to explore making a new lined Type III, with more sensible sizing.  He is Ok to do so in principle, I just want to nail the details with him…

I’d be just as happy with an unlined version of this jacket. I’m probably in the minority though [emoji851] H could just slap a cord collar on the 526PJ and call it a day

This jacket will not shrink. Definitely not. Do not try the mega warm washing or any dryer, please. You will only fucked up the inner stuffing.
