How Do I Post A Photo or Upload An Image

The file format of the image that you guys tried to upload shows as .jpg.jpg

Perhaps the one .jpg in the file name is too many and needs to be deleted so the image can be converted to a regular .jpg file?

Hi all, sorry for the late post. I have a feeling it's down to this being a different format altogether (JFIF) as seen in my screenshot below. We will investigate to see how we can handle these types. Thanks for reporting!

Also you wont be able to use bbcode unfortunately as this is not supported by NodeBB and other modern forums. You'll need to convert or use Markdown instead https://www.markdownguide.org/basic-syntax/

@motojobobo I had to convert your images from .dng to .jpg s the forum SW does not know what a .dng is.
I used this for future reference:

Then I cut and pasted the images because in their native .jpg, the files were too large.... “

to fix my pics.

Weirdly, when I posted that I was able to view the pics ok on the forum website.
I’ll must get better at it since I’ve now learned that Iphone pic possibility and will surely mess around with it. Thanks for the .DNG <=> .JPG info.

@louisbosco 8256 × 5504 image dimensions is pushing 8k territory so a simple re-size should do the trick. You can make it x4 smaller at least.

@jtaylor69 Am I right in thinking changing the error messaging is not straightforward out of the box?

If you are doing it from here (again on a PC), then hit the "Upload Image" Icon above

I'm on a Mac. If I click the upload image icon I get the option to upload from my drive, not to embed a web picture.

@JDelage We removed the shortcut for it as no one seemed to use the functionality, and it confused a lot of people trying to upload an image. @AdamJ may know the code for it, I have forgotten
