Absolutely adore this denim! Freshly washed & dried couldn’t wait to wear them.

@RoxRocks86 something special about the way these feel after a wash. They have such a unique feel in hand, almost warm with their subtle texture.

I can't decide between these or the lefties.. What would you guys pick? Doesn't matter a whole lot - they're probably both great! I've tried a fair amount of denim, but I've never handled the vintage or lefties.

@Peter. Both are great choices but very different. The one oz difference in weight is very deceiving. The 19 leftie is much stiffer, feels alot heavier and it will give you more high contrast fades because of that character. The 18 is softer more pliable and gives those nice vintage fades. You can't go wrong with either choice. The 19L always has my vote though.

@Peter Tough question and @yannis gave a great answer. The 19’s interest me because of the leg twist and the high contrast fades, but I have a strong love for the 18’s and their vintage feel.

I have been a huge fan of the 18’s and still have to say they are my favourite…however, I just started wearing the 17oz natural indigo and love them. They might possibly surpass my love for the 18oz. I stress might…

Either way, I don’t think there is a wrong answer and know none of this helps. 🙂

If you're looking for a versatile pair for year round wear, I'd go for the 18V.

If you'd prefer something thick and sturdy for the cooler months, the 19LHT will give you everything want and more.

@Peter Ha, I made this same decision the other month. I ended up with the 19L, but that choice was also coupled with trying out the 888 cut. IMHO, 19L is more similar to the flagship 21S and 18V is more similar to the 17N. All of which are great denims and I plan on getting 18V next…maybe though in 888?

Cheers guys! Really appreciate your answers. And even though it's always hard to help with these kind of questions, it's kinda fun to get everyones opinion 🙂 Somewhat leaning to the 19L, mostly because it's gonna get cold soon. But I do love the comfort of my slubbies, and I think the 18V might be similar in terms of wearability..

The 16 oz slubb is the most breathable denim IH makes. The 18oz is great all year round for the most part. The 19L is a beast. Make sure you understand that if you go the 19L road you will get skew, aka leg twist. The 19L is unsanforized but once washed. With carefully cold wash, air dry the shrinkage will be minimal. They never get really really soft like the 21oz or even the 25oz per say. As you brake them in they will feel a lot more like suede soft vs sweatpants soft.

@Peter I vote you go 19L…for the winter. And get the 18V when you vacation somewheres warm. That’s the plan. I’ve got 19L on RN. It’s heavy crunchy and comfortable. (not like Samurai)…Took a week to get comfy and conform. Lots of light blue showing already. Crocking is real. I’m excited to see the train tracks go the other waythis (my first) time. Last time I did IH 19oz it was RHT:

@Boit awesome pictures! I do love me some unsanforized denim with a good leg twist. Fades are great, but it's all about that shirt haha. Can't recall what it's called, but I've got it in the OD green and it's one of my favourites. The light grey is such a killer though. That should be rerun, but also in a UHF!

                                      Thanks 🙂

I know this gets asked often but I’m not too familiar with this beautiful 18oz vintage denim. I have a pair of these in a size 32 and they’re ever so slightly large on me, not greatly but I’m more of a 31 waist in general.
If I put them wet and completely dry them in a hot spin dryer, will this denim shrink and stay a little smaller or is it just going to stretch back out on wear?
                                        Thanks for any advice

@marc I doubt you can get any shrinkage as it’s been sanforized and one washed. If you were to get any, they would stretch back out to previous dimensions.
