@SKT At first I thought it was a bear, but I have never actually seen one, so my mind said it must be a black discarded trash bag on the side of the road. Then my mind thought it must be an escaped cow, but then back to bear. As I got closer to it in my RAV4, I saw it look over it's shoulder at my headlights. BEAR, I thought. Freaked me out a little but it was still really cool. I almost turned around to see what it really was but my survival instincts told me no.

I hope you get to see one, from a safe distance!

@Oaktavia In the fall I spend some time in the woods before dawn and after sunset and I can tell you that my senses are on high alert. There have been a few mountain lions sighted too so that adds a whole other problem!

I’m glad the only things I get to see are the odd kangaroo or koala
Although it’s coming into snake season here so we do get the odd one in the backyard every now and again, just keep the door shut and all is fine

We've seen bobcat as well as foxes here in central Ohio. And that's weird. are always here but rarely seen. Bobcats are new. The first one I saw I thought it was just an ugly dog lol

I haven't seen a bobcat but that would be so cool to see one.

@Brian granted I've never met a mountain lion, but I was so anxious driving on roads in Western Australia after a few incidents of rogue cows and roos throwing themselves in front of car ...

I’d have to imagine snake season where you live is a little different than where I live. If don’t think I could handle yours.

When I was travelling over here years ago before I moved out I remember stopping at a roadhouse in the NT and they literally had a massive bin that the road train drivers would pull off the dead Roos from the bull bars and throw them in the bin wasn’t a good sight

It appears to be a connection to the Wabash Area Sewer Improvements Project. The name Wabash is common in the state of West Virginia and does have a connection to the fabric we have come to love. There is also a Wabash River and county in Indiana. Further, we had a Wabash Confederacy of Native Americans here in what is now Illinois, Indiana and Ohio. Oh, and there is a Wabash truck company, too.

The only reason I know how to pronounce wabash

@GraemeE in my head for a while I thought it was wuh-bash but now that I have heard others say it as wab-ash that's how I try to pronounce it as well.
