@tody nope, and I used to listen to them quite a lot. It just never happened for some reason. I've been listening to Metallica since 1991 and my one and only concert was 2008!

How anyone can prefer some shredder jerking off on his fretboard to Gilmour is beyond me

up for discussion: will AI ever be able to replace "real" musicians? Will I ever be touched by an AI-generated song the same way as by this or Comfortably Numb or Song of Unborn or Drive Home?

@Tago-Mago Seeing Pink Floyd perform Comfortably Numb in concert is one of the highlights of my life. The lasers, music, people, and experience may never be matched.

@Tago-Mago Well, people go to events where one guy stands on the stage, pushing buttons. So we're probably halfway there already.

@tody True, and maybe this is just me turning into an old man. The counter-argument to that, in my opinion, is Kraftwerk. It's all electronic apart from the vocals but it feels incredibly human and warm.

@Tago-Mago Didn't we find out last weekend that we turned indeed into grumpy old men already? Pretty comfortable with that, though.
My argument was not against electronic music per se. But I think that whole DJ-thing has no soul, it's just for the 'put your hands in the air and wave them like you don't care' people.

@tody yes, yes and yes, And I think we both agree that there's good and bad music in every genre. Obviously what constitutes good music is determined by my liking it 😂

Being so much older than pretty much everyone here, and music being such an integral part of my life on so many levels,I’m not sure how/where I fit in the musical discussions. I think it must get tiresome hearing that I saw so and so or in this case Pink Floyd twice at The Fillmore East in 1970 on the heels of Saucer Full of Secrets and Umagumma. Just absolutely amazing, mind blowing shows. I like The Wall but with its massive commercial success I have over listened to it. Never saw them live other than The Fillmore East shows. Apologies if I get on peoples nerves, not essentially looking to one up,just a function of the musical time period I grew up in. I’m always looking to you guys to turn me on to cool new stuff, and that does ,indeed, happen from time to time. Billy Strings an example of that.
