Definitely comparing apples to oranges here, but should I go for this guy or wait for a lefty type 3?
I’ve been eyeing this since the release. It’s special. The minimal contrast other than the copper off the shelf pops. And it appears to be a pretty fast fader with high contrast fades.
The lefty type 3 which won’t likely come out until at least the spring. And I hear that it’s a real bear to wrangle. It eventually is beautiful. But not easy getting there.
What do y’all think that have both?? I’m looking for unique and honeycomb for days.

@RJScheuerle they are very different, certainly the 140 is much easier and quicker to fade. You must keep in mind that this fabric as has been said, will not be restocked at least in the short term.

@RJScheuerle I could definitely see your dilemma, but if you’ve been eyeing this since the release and the fact this probably won’t ever be restocked again, I would go type 1. I’ve only gotten to wear mine about 7 times so far, but it has indeed already started to stack and honeycomb beautifully. Make no mistake though, it still is a bear. This 19oz feels very substantial especially for 19oz. But the stiffness goes away after the first 5 wears or so, but the fabric hasn’t “softened up” for me at all, it’s just looser and drapes more. It still has a crisp hand feel. I would definitely say go for this over the lefty. Especially seeing the fade potential already being posted by people wearing it. I can tell mine will fade beautifully (:

Just couldn’t let this one go. It. Is so wild compared to other iron heart jackets… a classic design made ultra wild with the dark stitching, cinch back, and copper buttons. Such a beauty with attention to retro and subtle modernity.

Yeah man this jacket is one of my absolute favorites. It wears well and fades with high contrast too. As you stated, ultra wild.

Woah boys. Just got my 140 IG in. Ever more insane in person as predicted. The sea of dark blue is filled with specks of electric blue. And yeah those copper buttons make the jacket. Also love rolling up my sleeves and the grey weft is a beauty.
The jacket is no joke. I mostly wear neppy & slubby soft jackets. See: oni secret denim, RGT cryptic denim, mister freedom awa ai. The 20 oz secret denim is pajamas soft. This def has some of that sharp cardboard feeling in the elbows. Will require some break in! Really makes me wonder what the LHT feels like because this is a stiff boy out of the gates.
Sizing is fantastic. It’s a bit tight in my belly. But I’m trying to lose 10 pounds right now so I’m not surprised.
For anyone snooping to figure out their size: I am 69 inches, 170 pounds currently, 41 inch chest. I got a size 38. I like slim fits and usually just wear tees under my denim jackets. 40 would fit fine likely if I wanted a looser fit or planned on wearing it with flannels/hoodies/sweatshirts.
