This one is from a public discussion a while back and on the forum if you know where to look. 🙂

It’s not a dream job by any stretch but it will pay the bills and then some. I’m good at it and I will be able to work from home plus I’ll have weekends off as opposed to the barbering gig. And I won’t have to touch anyone’s dirty hair. Unless I want to.

In a totally rare, and not common for me at all, instance of foolishness and ignorance, I forgot to put a belt on this morning. This never happens and still befuddles me. However, I can confidently say, that thanks to the magnificence of the 888 cut, I run practically zero risk of mooning my colleagues. Thanks IH.

@WhiskeySandwich I often don't wear a belt with my 888s...so nice to not worry about showing my students my much lower quality undies when I bend down to work with them...

I do prefer how the cut fits when held in proper place with a belt, however.

@Mizmazzle thats the great thing about a snug fitting pair of 888s is they dont go anywhere, even without a belt. I guess, being the first time i forgot one, i'm finding out its totally unnecessary lol more of an accessory at this point.

@WhiskeySandwich for sure dude! I do find that once the jeans get really broken in they still come down just a touch (Never to the point of even being close to a plumbers crack mind you)...making the thigh and ass a little baggy looking. So if I wear a belt and keep them at their absolute highest point, the ass looks better...haha....thats the case with my XHS anyways....my 888D seem to be more rigid and a bit slimmer overall anyways....never wear a belt with those.

@Mizmazzle i guess i wear my 888s a little low for what they're 'supposed' to be, but the waist seems to be stretched as far as it'll ever go and is just as tight as how i set my belt. i dont like my 888s pulled up to the max, if we're getting anatomical - the waist stays at L5-S1, whether sitting or standing, which is ideal imo. i get a hint of buttsag when standing, but when sitting, everything works perfectly. I went on about this a while back in regards to combined rise. The spot that the 888 rests on the hips is right on the money for full coverage, and i never pull mine up to the belly-button like i guess you could if you're into wedgies. Always thought it was weird to pull pants up over my underwear waistline, so i dont, but the extra room in the combined rise is for sitting, just like the extra room in your knee measurement is for bending.

@twin thanks for posting this! I really enjoy seeing the craftsmanship and history. I’m guessing your family’s wagons were used by many over a huge area at some point. Great stuff. With your knowledge of your family history, do you know when your ancestors came over to the states and from where? I may start a genealogy thread sometime and see if anyone else is interested in this stuff.
