It's down to the weight/density of denim I think. I have a pair of 23oz SDA (pics posted a long time ago in other brand thread) and they are aging same way; the whiskers are 'thicker' than lighter weight jeans

just got these, fast fit pics before they hit the washing machine to get all shrinkage out.

then they're off to IH UK for hemming.

Should I spin them in 40°C or 60°C ?

I PUT MINE IN MACHINE AND THIS WAS NOT A GOOD IDEA!
I HAVE SOME WASHING MARKERS OM THE DENIM….THE DENIM IS TO STIFF IN MY OPINION TO WASH IN A MACHINE!
BUT IT IS YOUR DECISION;-)
