How many of you all sized up for your 21 oz modified Type III? I’m a size large in UHFs and most other IH jackets. 6’2” 180lb

I can’t decide between Large or XL in the IH-526PJ and live no where close to be able to try on for size

@Fishizzle Get i touch with the crew via E-Mail, they will help you determine the right size. I size up in the Type 3s, XXXL instead of the XXL I wear in shirts.

Thanks @Mizmazzle ! It was really a great time!

This jacket always makes me both want another type 3 and not. Want because it's so damn cool and not because I'd probably have FOMO wearing a different one.😂

@Fishizzle I agree that getting in touch with the Crew would be really helpful. They are always great to deal with.
I can't recall the exact measurements of the batch I ordered from, but I am pretty sure the measurements can change a little from batch to batch. So its hard to say if sizing up 3 years ago is the same as sizing up today.
Personally I go off my chest measurement as my main deciding factor.

@Fishizzle I do it like @tody when I want to layer or go with the same size when I want to wear a TIII with only a tee... But definetely get in touch my two TIII are XXXL with very similar measurements from the IH size chart but fit totally different

@tody @Crease @FlavourFade Appreciate the suggestions. I went with an XL and the fit is just what I was looking for. Large would have definitely been too snug.

                            Nvm, saw a June restock.

Guess my best chance at copping one is at self edge, but dislike their whole return process

Plan on wearing it with a heavyweight hoodie only.

Might still be a tad too big. Should i return it and wait for the XXL to restock, or would a soak shrink it up a bit?

You should size down. Sleeves way too long, and the photo shows excess material in the back. That jacket cannot be shrunk down as much as you‘d need it to.

@tody very little restriction even with the heavyweight hoodie. Comfortable.

Thought about pushing it down to XL but then I probably wouldn’t be able to layer. I keep this!

Sleeves might be a tad too big but hopefully it’ll shrink with creasing and washes.

Looks like you have room in the back to go down one more size for a more fitted look but loose some layering options. Your call obviously but i like the type iii fitted.

Still a lot of excess material all around and you could size down. You are not going to get shrinkage overall as it is sanforized and one washed. You will lose a little length in the sleeves as the creases set.
