Had a shit day, work was ok but I still have to get along with the results of last weekend's EU elections, all the Putin-Apologist, neo-fascists, right-wing fuckers. I can't deal with it. Then I looked through the last year of our 'Pets' thread and my heart is healed.

I sent this text to my brothers-in-law this morning and maybe you guys will see the humour in it too: Happy fat heads day! The one day of the year where your kids pretend you're not an asshole (at least to your face).

Finally got to come home from the hospital!
I can't do stairs so I'm camped out in my oldest daughters room.
Any guess what her favorite band is at 11?

I caught a beautiful moment on an otherwise dreadful commute this morning. Heavy traffic - a French bulldog leans out of the window of a car in the next lane on the motorway - a rider filtering through the traffic slows down to keep pace with the dog and gives it a wave before heading onwards. It’s still making me smile several hours later.

@ARNC I had a funny French Bulldog experience recently too. Some busybody old lady was scolding the owner for having an 'Un-muzzled XL Bully'

@DeeDee85 until you remember that humans bred French Bulldogs to a life of extreme discomfort, chronic breathing issues, and an early death. Then people keep on buying them when the only kind thing to do would be to allow the breed to die out.
