@mclaincausey yeah same. Shitluck, but he also cooked that corner. Nerves. Lewis seemed happy tho. Also bummed for Fernando. Loved seeing that battle tho, Ferrari clash and all. Big Leclerc fan but I’m team Carlos lol

And so happy for Charles! What a messy start but so glad he brought home his home circuit. We have ourselves a constructors race!

Hell yeah Charles! Boring race (except that first lap) but super psyched for the shakeup in results.

Looked like we might have a constructor’s race until a Ferrari double bin. Today it’s Le Mans. I guess I should pull for Caddy or Porsche. Love what Ferrari did last year too though.

What a race! More safety car than one would ever want but thrilled for Ferrari team 50 and United Autosports. For Ferrari to win back to back in a category they’ve been absent from for 50 years and for each team win one is exactly how they would have scripted it.

Happy for DeVries placing second on Toyota Gazoo #7 as well after a humiliating F1 stint.

Really brutal from Max today but some inept race management led up to it; they should have penalized Lando for track limits sooner to be honest even though I was pulling for him, but I think the desperation the lack of that put into max made him pt his elbows out too far. Then the stewards failed to rein that in. Ultimately Lando and McLaren got completely torpedoed. There needs to be a grid place penalty or else there’s no reason not to torpedo cars with greater pace.

@mclaincausey yeah I’ve been waiting for that battle all season. It was unfortunate to see how it went down. I think the stewards might have mishandled some things and Max may have let nerves get to him. Ultimately, it just ended up being a loss for everyone except George. Just a bit of shitluck exacerbated by overexcitement. I’m sure the battle will continue, hopefully cleaner next time.

It was a great race and Lewis winning it was fitting... Also burst out laughing when I noticed fastest lap went to... Sainz (in the last seconds).

Great race but how many times is McLaren going to mess up key decisions? They gave away a 1-2. No idea what they were thinking.

Not the first time this season either… had plenty of time to pit Norris ahead of an obvious SC to come in Montreal and he would have been first behind the SC had they done so. Perhaps VER would have passed as the track dried but we will never know. I think Logan’s car had been out in an obvious crane-removal situation maybe 30 seconds so it was plenty of time for them to pit him. I couldn’t believe it when he passed the pitlane in the same way I couldn’t believe Norris and Piastri passed the pit lane Sunday at Silverstone. And they were debating tires as Norris was in the pit lane. In some scenarios you should just take the obvious decision and leave the driver alone.

But I am extremely happy Lewis won, despite being frustrated with McLaren’s issues running the race. I just want a WCC/WDC race.

Can’t believe they went for the soft versus brand new mediums. Wasn’t Lando on mediums when he caught Max around lap 20?

Thats almost as bad as the commentators saying not to bring anyone in for Inters during the first little shower of rain, and a lap or two later Ferrari bring in Leclerc…
