IHSB-SAV-BRN - Iron Heart x Simmons Bilt Horsehide Savannah Jacket - Brown

A collaboration between Iron Heart and Simmons Bilt, the Savanah takes an iconic jacket design but tailors it for the 21st century wearer, with a trimmer, more tapered silhouette. Handmade in Scotland, this piece has been constructed from 1.2mm European prairie horsehide, combination-tanned in Germany. The jacket is then fitted with a 100% cotton lining from Halley Stevensons in Dundee, with other features including a heavy-duty brass zipper, handwarmer pockets and an internal storage pouch, ensuring practicality to match the vintage style.

You guys really take the cake … just when I thought I was done with leather jackets lol.

From the back view it looks like this has shoulder gussets, can you confirm.

Also, can anyone comment on the hide? At 1.2 mm thick and veg tanned, I’m guessing it’s pretty pliable right out of the gate?

@Brandrea No shoulder gussets on these and yeh that hide is SUPER soft and pliable out of the gate, I think it's the first thing all of us commented on when we first got our hands on them

I was eyeing this one ever since it was first teased and finally have it in hand. I couldn’t be happier with the fit and combination of substantial yet very pliable leather, which will only get better with some break in. I went with a medium for a slim fit over a t shirt at 5’10” 190 lbs, 43” chest and 30” waist, and it’s perfect.

This is one of those perfect examples of each persons individual measurements needs to be taken into account when ordering. Comparing height and weight just doesn’t work.
