@indigostiff pricey repairs for sure , again though I’ve never had 25oz repaired before. I had self edge repair a pair of flatheads , they did large darns on both knees a, darn in the crotch area , replaced pocket bags, darned the top outer pocket area on one side , all for like 50 bucks . Mildblend did some darning on 3 spots on a different pair of flatheads and charged me about the same . Bummer on those repairs @ only 150 wears, did you soak/wash your xhs before wearing?

So I’m wondering if the not soaking your xhs was in part to blame for the damage in such a short time, the denim maybe stayed stiffer due to starches making for more extreme abrasion/wear? Just a thought.

This is likely a contributing factor.
