@jiminstitches not sure what caused all the piling up of those roof tiles, I suspect it is more related to multiple half-hearted attempts to patch up leaks. Disrepair for the most part.
Curious fact about those roof tiles is their huge size compared to the ones commercially sold nowadays. They are approximately 50 % longer and wider than their modern counterparts. Size mismatch makes it impossible to do neat repar work.
Back then with bad roads and very scarce motorized transport it was common practice to hire a TEJERO (one who makes tejas/tiles) and have him for months making tiles next to house being built.
Those cherries are similarly sized to the ones we all know (Prunus sp). Must be a trick played by my pics…didn’t think about using a pocketknife for size reference.

            The journey is the objective.

Went to see the NHL points leading Canucks take on my Avalanche. Bonus: Grateful Dead night at Ball Arena! Double bonus: we won! This was Hattie’s first professional sports experience and she enjoyed it. Nuggets next!

@SKT haha. Thanks, Sean. We lucked out with the weather. Got about 5” of snow each night. Exhausting with the little ones but they had a blast.

Looks like a fun outing @mclaincausey. Hot dog from the concession stand is a must too. Jokic is fun to watch. I loved his ‘almost’ dunk at the end of the 1st half of the all-star game.

@Kirk she hammered two in rapid succession. Somehow she also found the only stuffed unicorn in the building that wasn’t even for sale (Nuggets march) and I wasn’t about to deny her that either. Need her on my side for sporting events 😂

my #3 was a powerful Lindores 'exclusive cask', then there was a Tomintoul that was ok-ish, a Kilchoman that was good but to much peat for me, and an 'english whisky' we don't need to talk about, but the Springbank was really special, can't buy it and if the bottle would be €169

+1 on the Sanaig @SKT. Really like how the sherry in that bottle balances the peat.
