Setting aside init's situation, is the consensus this one generally marbles more than the other varieties? I want to try a CPO, and I've been leaning towards the Superblack, as black is more versatile since I'm not the type to wear indigo on indigo, but I'd prefer the crisper wear patterns rather than the vintage/marbling look.

@RandomlyHunting Entirely depends on how you treat it. If you can minimize washing, you’ll end up with less marbling and higher contrast crease fades. If that’s what you’re going for, when you do wash: pre soak, stay cold, hand wash or machine wash, no spin, hang dry. That will somewhat avoid irregularities.

Yes though, SBG is known to marble a bit as a result of washing. If you’re careful it’s not hard to minimize.

Thanks guys so much for sharing experiences and encouraging me to wear it. I definitely will do that, apologies for dramatizing.

It's still uber-nice shirt/jacket and these marks aren't changing it.
Will start to wear it as much as I can, hopefully will share some good results in the future, thanks again!

@init616 yes lad! Mine has had about 2 and half months of wear, something like 16 hours a day. I almost never take it off. I have even slept in it a couple of times @Oaktavia style. If you give it the time it'll come on strong. Mine has broken in a lot now, pretty soft and malleable .

@RandomlyHunting I would add to what Whiskey said, and say that if you want to avoid marbling with this shirt (I have no marbling at all) do not put it in the machine at all. Hand wash this sucker and when you soak it before first wearing it, be careful that it's properly (entirely) submerged under the water. That's the safest way to handle it.

My soaking process involved weighing the shirt down and moving it every few minutes for around 20 minutes. It's so easy when this shirt is new, to fold it and get strong lines down the arms (my personal pet peeve - I don't mind marbling - but the lines aren't for me).

Hope this helps. Don't sleep on this one, it's not continuous production.

@init616 I had a similar experience experience with my 21oz SBG jeans, but 6 months wear and 1 more wash later there's no trace of the original 'mistake'

I know it's hard, but try not to get get hung up on it.

As my mother says, it'll all come out in the wash (literally and metaphorically)

All you guys that have this shirt, if you have washed/soaked, did you get any shrinkage? Wondering if a hot soak would get me any shrinkage.

I have been wearing mine hard since my last post and since I sized up to layer underneath I started wearing mine with another shirt below, don't care if it's faux pas or It looks weird, it's really very comfortable as with a shirt underneath it fits me much better. And because mine is still very hard, when I wear it over just t shirt it's pretty awkward.

I hope mine will look similar to yours @WhiskeySandwich in some time
