My Seiko Sarb 017 on natural cxl strap

Going into full Apokalypse Now mode, with a black waffle strap from Uncle Seiko / Uncle Straps. The straps wear very comfortable and, since you don't have two layers of fabric beneath your watch, a lot more compatible with shirt cuffs.

Ok web sleuths… you’re on the case. Recently I was gifted some beautiful old Seiko 5s and I’ve been digging into their history. One in particular, the 1969 “no nickname” dive watch originally came with a super cool late 60’s style steel bracelet that for the life of me I can’t locate for sale anywhere. I’m posting some pics with the hopes that one of you will fare better. The model is the 6119-8140. The lug width is 19 mm and has a straight, as opposed to curved, pin bracket. Best of luck…

I finally figured out a work around for the new budget Katie has us on so I bought a couple more watches. They should be here this week but I’ll give you a preview. Both are from Brew Watch Co. it’s a small NY watchmaker that I’ve been reading a lot about and have become mildly obsessed with. One is their standard Metric Chrono with a Seiko hybrid movement. The time is quartz and the chrono is mechanical. I found it for a good price on eBay…

I might actually sell that one because after I bought it this collab with Worn & Wound that was sold out came back into stock. It’s the same model but with the hour hand moved to a subdial making it a regulator…
