Iron Heart doesn't do Sailor gear, unless of course Denim Sailor is rocking it.

I'll keep an open mind -as always- & I'm sure I'll be blown away by what the team does, but I'm just saying I don't get it

I can see Haraki doing a spinoff on a N1 for motorcycle riding purposes! Since the jacket is so thick and warm

well if he made it from ventile then it'd be proper windproof and nearly waterproof but with a lovely natural feel instead of the usual synthetic

don't get me wrong.  the clothing doesn't need a concept or  a story line or any of that at all. I am just used to the current direction of IH & am a bit thrown by the N1 & where it fits.

As all things Iron Heart, I'm sure it's going to be awesomeness.  Just trying to make some sense of it in the IH universe . . . I think I think too much. . . hehehehehe

IMO denim and flannel are the soul of IH.
Not to say the other stuff isn't amazing...

...what's the term for creating vintage reinterpretations of modern garments, i.e.: from a theoretical future standpoint looking back at today's militaria garb for example? Some mileage there or am I just riffing nonsense?

Sure, but perhaps there is a sub-culture clothing opp here. Imagine a modern version of an N1 (whatever it is they issue) viewed through the same halcyon lens that current vintage reinterpretation clothing is viewed.

Well a lot of workwear of the 50s and 60s was actually old military gear or derivations of it - so evolution is entirely appropriate
