@goosehd note to self. When you mentally sign off from the forum for the evening and take a tab of Zoplicone, don’t fire off one more quick answer. You’ll think your making perfect sense whereas in reality parts of you are already asleep and the rest is about 30 seconds behind

As I’m sure you understood, despite my best efforts, I was trying to say my 822’s are a little small at the moment and the crotch is failing.
I picked up the 828’s somewhat begrudgingly (14oz is just not my jam), and they are pretty bloody awesome.
Wore my 822’s today though, on my mental health walk…

proud of you for sharing mate.

@goosehd support groups are tricky. I have a much better network than I had six months ago. They include, folks I was in hospital with. We have a WApp group and are always there. Some of us meet up now and again, when we have the energy or need to. It’s good to chat with folks that have a common frame of reference. You have to be careful though as folks can start projecting.
Folks with poor mental health are interesting when it comes to empathy. If your issues are connected with trauma, the chances are you have an increased empathetic ability. Put two of those together and it can turn into a whirlpool of despair if both are having a bad day. So one of you should always be charged up.
At the same time more neurodivergent types can be impossible for depressives to be with for any length of time, even though they are great fun to be around for the depressed mind. I could mention hot bi-polar 28 year old hair dressers here, but I won’t. I could also mention my marriage
I also won’t say too much about this because it regards my point of view and because we have a resident expert on the subject in @endo
Otherwise I have some good friends who know stuff and care. They normally don’t “get it” but that is fine. They give you a break when you’re flaky af and understand when you can’t manage stuff other folks wouldn’t think twice about. Beyond that I have a fantastic GP/primary health advisor. I’ve known her for 12 years and she goes above and beyond for me.

@goosehd there’s this place too. Like anything, it is a great help when used wisely.
@jordanscollected thanks especially for your post last night. It is good to feel understood, and you obviously grasped the challenges based on what I wrote. I appreciate it.

I’ve been thinking about tune of the day… Slipknot are one of these bands I’ve often listened to but don’t know a lot about, or have bothered to research. I’m listening to them a lot more these days, because shouty angry music makes me happy. Go figure.
Assuming Corey Taylor is also the lyricist he pretty much captures the conflicting inner dialogue of the depressed mind in these two tracks:
That is to say selfpity meets inwardly directed rage

Fuck yes @neph93. Personal fav of mine from them:

Thanks for the kind words folks. I quite enjoy tent life… until I actually have to get in the tent. Jokes aside it was a lovely 24 hours with lovely people in lovely surroundings.
Part 2 of the mini vacay coming up. I’m on a boat. Which is also tune of the day…
Next stop Svolvær in the Lofoten Archepelago.
