My first pair of Iron Hearts arrive tomorrow! Very excited and really hoping they'll fit. After reading every post on this thread I decided to size down one. I wear a 32 in EVERYTHING and have done for over 20 years! My Nudies and SDAs can now be removed without undoing a button, only my Alevols are snug. Just hope you are all right and the 31 fits - I do prefer a slightly slimmer fit.

Gongrats Goldtop! You'll love the 634's and the 31 waist should be fine. I'm a firm 33 waist and I got my
        634's in a 32 and they're perfect, they'll stretch too so if they're a bit snug to begin with don't worry…
        within a week they'll loosen up. 🙂

Yeah, the 634s have enough stretch in them that sizing down one should be no problem.  I could easily go down a size on mine if I didn't have fat thighs.

it's size down from measured size (not tagged size).  So hopefully your jeans actually measure 32 and not a vanity sized 34 or something.

They got soaked as I had to go on the roof while it was pouring down. Took 2 days to dry and when I went to go out them on was the first time I notice they have started to fade 🙂

They fit! Second time lucky - the 31s had to go back to be replaced with a pair of 32s. I had seriously underestimated the effect that sustained Guinness drinking had had on my waist measurement. The 32s just arrived in the office and, though they are very snug around the waist, I can tell that they are going to stretch to the perfect fit.

I think my denim fetish has finally found a worthy focus. I am very happy! Fit pics to follow … for now it's back to work.

These are the 32s - although I wear a 32 in everything, this process has taught me that my true waist size is more like a 34-35. They were tight yesterday but feel perfect now and I'm loving them and love the stacks!

                            Hello there people,

just about to order my first pair of IH. 634s (and the IHSH-41 - got the IHSH -31 MkII earlier this year - amazing shirt!).
I could do with a little sizing advice if you'd be so kind.
normally waist 32 (and they all mostly measure 36" or so) would 34 be the way to go?

really looking forward to these after everything I've seen and read,

                            thanks in advance.

So your other jeans are tagged W32 but measure 36"? How tight are they? Depending on these things I would either go W34 or W36. Also, try measuring your favorite pair and then comparing to the measurements on the IH UK site. Keep in mind that these will stretch about an inch or a little more. Good luck…

I got these in a 32, they stretched to fit me perfectly.

Do as Lando says, measure your fav. pair and check meas. on the website.  (tagged 32 measuring 36 is sick, and I mean really sick, who are they kiddin'?)

I'd go with TTS. As said these will stretch, but if there isn't anything stretching them, it's minimal.

Also measure/compare your thigh carefully, it's not just waist that matters.

IMO sizing down ain't no good, I believe clothes/jawns aren't supposed to be stretched to fit. Can't do good for the fabric. That's just some odd phenomenon of 2K century.

MOD, you'll be fine with the 34s. I was in a similar position, many pairs of 32s in other brands measuring anything between 34 and 36 (after stretching). I'm a TTS 34 - 35 and my size 32 634s were tight at first but now perfect after only a few days.

There are definitely two schools of thought on this one - those who like their jeans to fit from new and those who like their jeans to stretch to their own individual shape. I'm with the latter. Denim is a woven fabric and so, by it's nature, will stretch and I'd rather they stretched to fit me than stretched to the point where they are too big. Each to his own though and I've not yet seen a pair on these forums that doesn't look very cool!

Post pics when they arrive. You'll be very happy.
