I wouldn’t touch the paint if not necessary. Love the way it is.
A road king is definitely something I wanna have in the future. Test rode one last year and loved it, although I would prefer a twin cam over the M8. But I’m afraid I’m not allowed to have three bikes and oh, a cafe racer and a Sportbike are missing as well in the stable…

@Dmart You're not allowed to have a garage full of motorcycles either...you could always use it's cheaper than a bunch of cars. I've been trying it for a while, but sadly it's not working...

I didn’t ride, but my DIY garage was hosting the meet-up. I was there putting the finishing touches (this round…) on my Road King.

New tires, brake pads, exhaust, air cleaner, seat, bags, risers and bars, side covers and floorboards.
Front Axeo 2+ suspension up front and 14” Arc resevoir shocks going on this week.
Deleted: front light bar, leather bags, front crash bar, fork “cowbells”, passenger floorboards, lots of unnecessary chrome accents.
Waiting for the FXRT fairing to ship in early June.
Decide to paint match the anniversary theme on the fairing and side covers. That’ll happen late June after mock-up and prep.
Rides like a dream.

@goosehd im leaving the motor alone for now. Just a cleaner and a pipe. Maybe a Dyno Vision Target tune. This off-season I’ll do cams, oil pump, injectors and a throttle body.
The 88” TC only had 24k of light use, is not leaking oil and makes very decent power.
I think before I’d do a big bore kit (and probably weld the crank too, and the head work) I’d remove the 88 (for a TC FXR swap) shelve it, and drop a 111T or 124T crate into it.

@Jett129 i can try to take a video of it running. It’s currently on my lift getting the suspension mounted.
But I can tell you this, it’s a “loud-ish” deep rumble. Not raspy. Sounds very Harley. Doesn’t bark like a Thunder Header. Decel popping sounds cool. It hasn’t been tuned for the cleaner and pipe, but makes perfect torque from a standstill and revs really fast and makes great seat of the pants acceleration. I’m very happy with it. It’s a 4.5” SP Concepts pipe. TC Bros has them in stock. Many applications and reasonably priced, IMO.
