Subaru needs a new ac compressor so instead im starting to look for a smaller than an F-250 pickup in anticipation of the 2nd attempt at full time traveling. Not sure which trailer we’ll be going with but definitely smaller then a 30’ Airstream. Any suggestions? Thinking Ranger, Tacoma, Colorado size.

@Matt Depending on the size of the trailer…Have you thought about the bronco’s? They use the ranger frame and have about the same towing capacity. More room for the family and gear which would be nice if towing a smaller trailer.

I am in a local minority here in that I like the new bronco. Not the Sport and not the version with the flared fenders. I’m old school.

@Matt I pull a 21ft travel trailer with a 2019 Tacoma TRD OR. The towing capacity is 6800 lbs. Pulls it fully loaded just fine…BUT the transmission will drive you nuts. It bounces between gears like nothing I have ever driven.

I’ll definitely get something with tow assist. That made a big difference when I had the Airstream.

I know @goosehd have seen a few live here, nice car, but besides some design aspects not much in common with the 'VW Bus' (T1-T5 series) IMO though

yes, the ID buzz and the cargo version since last autumn, the long version and the camper not yet, 2025 I think
