@Heavy_blue I’m glad we have a safe space to discuss these bizarre conundrums. Ever seen the twisted and confused look on a “civilians” face when you try to explain denim to them?? It a no go!!!

@Mizmazzle Lol I had this the other weekend, when my friend's girl asked to wear my jacket (Lefty OD), inevitably loved it and ask where it was from/how much it cost etc... I told them IH but said I'd rather not say the price... which led to a whole conversation about me being a 'denim enthusiast', which led to confused faces all around... Swiftly changed the subject!

@T4920 so funny!! I had a similar conversation at work recently. I mentioned I wear the same jeans everyday…this led to the how often I wash them conversation. Which led me to trying to educate the person a bit on quality denim and indigo fades, which quickly transitioned into the price I paid. I told them half the real price and their eyes still popped out of their head hahaha

@Mizmazzle I hate being asked how much things cost, I don't wear these things to flex or as a status symbol, but for the love of quality clothing... I won't lie though (if pressed hard enough), but I always feel like a dick when I tell people a shirt cost £300 and I see their brain calculators firing up when they realise I almost exclusively wear IH! I'm single, and live an extremely modest lifestyle on all other counts, whereas most of my friends have families, mortgages and expensive cars on finance/leases... makes my wardrobe look like chump change, but somehow they talk like I'm the irresponsible one? hahaha

@T4920 I agree. We can all spend money on whatever we like. I work hard and enjoy quality. Literally get to feel the fabric on my body all day long. Not many other items/ hobbies that bring one in such constant contact with the thing they love so much. Now explaining how much we spend on these clothing items only to take the greatest joy in beating the shit out of them!!!? Haha. And so the plot thickens even more!!

In the end that’s one of the reasons this place/forum is the holy grail. We can be ourselves denim nerdy self here. We talk about our life’s in denim and not only that we’re talking about life, experience, problems etc. This is a safe space I totally love it and i wanna say to you all how grateful i am! IH army
